Only 1 anti tunnel perk
Thank you behavior for killing off the record. Now we have only 1 anti tunnel perk. Since the update, every match, we get tunneled, and we have only 1 perk. Thank you

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they didn't say reverted. It's just slated to be looked at again in an upcoming patch.

I’m pretty sure changes in Bugfix patches means fixing what they’ve done when it went wrong. Not completely changing perk and giving it third look, because it's bugfix patch.
They also said before that every perk that was changed regard “anti system” will be cancelled, but they forgot about tenacity and off the record. So clearly, it was a mistake. They simply forgot about them
What the point of your message? Last time u made a weird note about PvE and took it back in a manner “I didn't tell anything”, now u catching up to the phrase. Not really nice behaviour

Only one perk that you need to spend real money to get. At least Off the Record you could get it for free via shards.

Oh I'm so sure they just forgot to revert all the perks except tenacity and OTR. Both related to anti slug and anti tunnel. They definitely didn't forget borrowed time because those extra seconds were to OP. And the killer perks all got reverted.. maybe it's a bug that the new killer also got extra buffs after the PTB and now killers can see hooks states to tunnel easier.

There is no possibility of it being a mistake, since they didn't forget to revert any other perk tangled up in the changes, including undoing the buffs to Babysitter and Borrowed Time.

They adress the OTR problem in two patch, in the 9.2.2, so not the next one, technically

Right, but they're dancing around the wording that would mean "we're putting it back to where it was before the patch".
Not that that isn't still possible, but that's not what they said either. So, the expectation they're setting is that the version we get in 9.2.2 could still be different than before 9.2.0.
Which, that, combined with the fact that OTR and tenacity were not changed back after anti tunnel was pulled, would mean that buffing tunneling in 9.2.0 was both a conscious and deliberate choice the devs made.

What about DMS? It also got nerfed. Nurse Calling and deer hunter? All of them related to antislug and gen incentives changes and went along with to it. Would u call it mistake as well?
BHVR is clearly trying to have it both ways. I don’t know what’s happening inside company, but now they have an incomprehensible storm where they try to please everyone and end up irritating instead. They created TWD which bugs affected killers in a bad way more, they somehow nerfed fog vials trying to please killers. Survivors went frustrated- they brought anti slug and anti tunnel PTB patch before their intentional road map. Killer were frustrated over PTB, they doing this right now. Simple consequences of trying to please emotions rather than actual balancing. Many peoples wanted this and didn't realise it can backfire on both sides here and there.
Clearly, they “buffed” tunneling to justify changes later, nothing new.
But this doesn't mean they'll give this perk a third version. A bug fix means a bug fix patch, not a rework. I may understand mad reaction of it now, but what it makes with my personal message?

Not that I'm defending the OTR nerf - it was a bad idea and I'm glad the perk's getting changed again soon - but I do think it's worth pointing out there are more options in the meantime.
Decisive Strike is the one I assume you're referring to, but you also have Blood Rush available for personal anti-tunnel when paired with Sprint Burst or Lithe, both of which are solid perks when you aren't being tunnelled too.
On the personal end there are also a few perks that aren't strictly anti-tunnel, like Dead Hard, that you can use in that context.
It's also worth bringing a few altruistic anti-tunnel perks because they're fairly solid on the whole. Borrowed Time throws off killers just counting to ten, Babysitter gives a pretty crazy amount of Haste to make distance with, even Shoulder the Burden has high potential. Until we get more appropriate basekit anti-tunnel, perks like these are going to be very useful on the whole.

Well… Since latelly they make some very strange decision (like the fog vial), I can understand why these people become like that
OTR is a great tool, and with the tunnel epidemic, it's kinda odd that this perk don't get revert… People take that seriously1 -

None of these perks had any of their components moved over to basekit in the tunnel/slugging changes.

It’s reasonable why the issue went only with system of components. I’m not sure what exactly BHVR are using, but in private repositories every commitment usually is going with fetching branches. Some files might be lost from previous commits, so they need to redouble check their archives. That’s also explaining how unnecessary hook stages and auto recovery from slug went to this update. The whole PTB and current patch were mixed in extremely messy way.
That’s why OTR change gonna be in bug fix patch. They didn't say they gonna rework it either.
What will happen if it turns my interpretation of their message would be correct? Will all the dovnvotes and the clinging to the messages disappear? I doubt it. That’s just wordplay — you first said DBD is closer to PvE, and then backed off by calling it “in the realm of it.” The meaning doesn’t really change, it just looks like you’re dodging your own statement.

You can call it semantics or splitting hairs. I won't stop you. But both statements are true. "In the realm of PVE" means it's adjacent to it, but naturally it can't be PVE because two sides queue up for it. I think I brought up RE6 and L4D2 in that same thread as being other PVE-adjacent titles. That means that one side are treated like the PCs and the other side are treated like the NPCs.
With the patch, it's true. They never said they were reverting it as far as I can tell. You can assume that's what they mean, but we also know BHVR and it's not always a safe bet to do that.

Except that all the killer perk nerfs didn’t get reverted. People keep failing to mention Dead Man’s Switch, which has one of the highest pick rates in the entire game.

It can’t exist even in realm of PvE, because environment isn’t against player on its own. It is used as a tool when other player affecting it.
Environment in DBD actually extremely uninteractable compared to real cross genre of PvP and PvE games. Actual example of cross genre is MMORPGs or Survivals like Rust or DayZ. U can die here because were hungry or had a lack of sources without opponent influencing on it. In dbd u can’t die because of environment. Only from endgame collapse maybe.
If for environment killing you it requires pulling the trigger of other side, it can’t be PvE. Even close to it. The only elements of PvE in this games are Nemesis’ zombies or Lich’s chest. Or when killer loading to the match full of bots. Elements. It's not making whole game even close to it still

That’s are a huge exaggeration of what happening in DBD rn. Just because one’s role is offence while other is defence doesn't make someone close to NPC role. It's asymmetry of the genre and only. That’s why I don't like it. Just the perception of words instead of their actual meaning leads to the fact that they are conveniently adjusted to emotional sentiments.

Changes can mean a lot of stuff. Reverting as well. But I doubt even if it turns I was right people would take their words and reaction back here. I didn't message “but they didn't tell they would nerf it even more” on someone comment. Sometimes, just sometimes at least, accept the fact that when devs posting undefined messages people can read it different. And don’t tell them they are wrong until it would be proved directly. I’ll accept my mistake only after bug fix release. Because when I tried to ask mods for clarification they ignored

Nobody said that.
But of the perks that had their functionality moved into basekit (Those being OTR, Tenacity, and the four regression perks), the only ones that did -not- get reverted to account for the basekit changes not going through are OTR and Tenacity.
BHVR themselves specified that the four regression perks DID get reverted specifically because the basekit changes didn't go through, and they, for some reason, also tossed in Borrowed Time and Babysitter into that category. (Notably, both of those were buffed in 9.2.0, and also, neither of them had functionality moved to basekit, so their inclusion makes little sense)
They specifically chose NOT to revert OTR and Tenacity. There is NO reasonable possibility of this being a 'mistake', unlike what you claimed.

BT, babysitter, DS, DH and STILL OTR. That's way more than 1 anti tunnel. You shouldn't get to be a 1 man 4 health state off hook army so easily.
