flip flop is better then MoM change my mind
Now this doesn't mean ol MoM is bad. its an extremely good perk, its not as powerful as people are making it out to be, but its a great last resort and on no mither builds will become, well a must have.
MoM = gives you a free extra hit (essentially dead hard) but reveals your aura to the killer once your healed (one way obj of obsession. making it have incredible risk but incredible payoff. paired with a few perks it can be golden but not as broken as people say. (also cooks dinner like any kind parental figure would do) no mither paired with this is amazing, same with dead hard, and all perks that work well with no mither. essentially you want to keep in the injured state (in this meta, not a bad thing) but that is the risk. its basically an exhaustion perk with a different and yet still hugely risky drawback. you can still tunnel them down, but its better to actually wait for endgame, when your noed pops and their adrenaline pops and you can find them anywhere and down them 0:) unless they don't have adrenaline in which case its just regular dbd
Flip flop : Allows you free escapes similar to old ds if your slugged. mix it with unbreakable to get the bar up faster (possibly tenacity, or even boil over for possibly better results) and if your slugged there going to find it much harder to get you to a hook from a good position. due to how bloody often slugging is required at all ranks for a 4k... this is going to become much beloved
even better paired with ds, they can't slug you because both unbreakable and flip flop are in the game. but they can't pick you up cause ds.
on swf teams flip flop and sabo are going to become the new meta. why risk getting wacked or a torch save when you can just break the surrounding hooks easily and with the shorter distance the killer can travel, have even less hooks to break which means more time on gens... etc.
i feel if anything, agitation might become the new enduring, run by many killers.
change my mind
actual arguments with valid and constructive criticism please
also this isin't a salty killer or survivor main here im just discussing meta points, i play both sides and have reached rank 1 as both im not calling the perks op or anything, im not calling for a rework. simply discussing implications and why one is better then the other

MoM stays active even when healed to full state so when you get put into injured state it's still there. Doesn't need a button push to activate it so noob friendly. Slugging is hardly used now unless the killer really wants that 4k or is using a off meta build. The only downside to MoM is not being able to be used against M2 attacks like nurse blink+attack or huntress hatchets.

"Unless the killer really wants that 4k"
Which killer doesnt want the 4k?
4 -
They're both nuts.

Yeah 4k is the Killer's wincon.
Saying unless Killer wants that 4k is like saying unless the Survivor wants to escape. They obviously do unless they are doing some weird challenge or something.

being not able to be used against "power" attacks is one of its weaknesses bud. plus i don't see a problem with being noob friendly. so long as noob friendly doesn't immediately equal amazing for pros then im all good. you could say noed, devour hope and make your choice are noob friendly, all require simple requirements. its what is in their drawbacks that allows them to be balanced.
exactly. every killer unless they're feeling kind wants to 4k so...? i mean at high ranks the meme is literally that everyones billy nurse huntress or spirit... and all 4 of those slug. all of those also have power based attacks ( i think even spirits doesn't count for MoM ) meaning all avoid MoM. Flip flop is far more useful against top tier killers

Exactly, and seeing that all killers want to 4k unless their feeling absolutely kind, is what makes flip flop legit really good (Due to slugging for 4k) hell i just got saved in a match today due to it.

Nah. Killer wins at 3k. If you think only a 4k is a win then all you do is set yourself up for disappointment. Which a lot of killer mains do here so you'd be in good company.

I generally only want a 3k cause slugging for hatch is ######### boring and don't really care too much about the 4k unless going for adept.
2 of those perks you mentioned are Hex. Meaning can be taken out before even been able to be used. Not exactly noob friendly if can be destroyed within 30 seconds of the match.

Flip Flop worried me, but honestly I rarely if ever get slugged. Way too niche to worry about imo. MoM though? After 8 or so hours of playing with my friends and using it? The amount of stupid ######### we pulled off with it is insane. The aura read doesn't bother any of us, cuz guess what? Doesn't stop us from looping or seeing their stain. It's absurdly strong with proper coordination/SWF. The synergy it has is fantastic too.

Good luck pipping with a 3k. Hell I've seen people derank with a 4k, and barely black pip other times.

OK.

Well if the killer goes for the slug and or instant win they're going to depip and rightly so the same as if the survivors all gen rush and never get seen/chased. But almost all my games against red rank killers have been super sweaty tryharding along with hard or proxy camping.
There's been some that actually want to max bp and go after the emblems so they don't tunnel someone right off the hook. They actually move around pressure different spots and different people etc.
Those matches last longer than 10 minutes and both sides feel like they did something even if the killer 4k's you still safety pip and earn some bp. The killer feels good because lots of bp and they most often pip.

Yea, that's how I play and gens don't really last long when you're aiming for 12 hooks. Also, no, I'm not going to run Ruin so it can blow in 15s.

That last part had me laughing so hard.
I'd like to see them revert the emblem changes until emblems get reworked and secondary objectives launch. Then wait until rank reset hits and then implement the new stuff.

Flip flop is better at high ranks for the simple fact that more flashlights and instaheals get brought in by people who can actually use them properly and the killer is aware of that if he/she is not boosted and they will look around to make sure nobody is there and hit them away if they are while if you have a flip flop unbreakable combo you are gonna do big damage and can potentially have the obsession DS multiple times in one game I've already saw it happen, MoM isn't useful at high ranks I just ran it for two and a half hours straight and it only activated twice out of all that.

The emblem system doesn't hurt MY style of play which is 2 hooks each, then start killing. However, people don't care about dragging the game out unless they wanna bully, or the game is over and they wanna milk points/piss off a killer. They really need to revert it, their numbers are dropping fast. Between that and the constant dcs a lot of people are ticked.

I agree, you just have to hope the killer won't immediately pick you up. I'm having fun with MoM but flipflop seems better. Honestly it's rarity should be swapped with buckle up.
0 -
Honestly all his perks are the same rarity tbh. Buckle up is good just not meta and deffinately not swf oriented. The major effect (Aura intensity of a survivor on the ground) should be base kit same with kindred (but only within 16-32metres for kindred and no killer Aura reading)

Both perks need a buff if we are honest, they are just too situational

I hardly ever get slugged so that's why I think MoM is better to use. I mean I know MoM has a bunch of counters and build up for it to work but in most of my matches in doing gens, getting chased, or saving .
I think ive been slugged once in my past 30 games
1 -
@ItsYourBoyGuzma you use flip flop in a flashligth SWF setup
1 -
Not going to change you're mind because you're right.
Flip flop is definitely going into a ton of my loadouts, especially if/when I feel like running cheeky sabo builds. I get slugged a ton and always get hooked when I'm like 1 wiggle away from being free so it's perfect for me.
MoM is overrated imo. Just seems like DH with more conditions and less counterplay (not being able to bait it out with the downside of requiring 3 base hits and then the aura reading).

the sad part its that killers will cry and not adapt since theres now a new meta finally its been along time a new good perk comes to the game since david dlc
0 -
Flip flop seems strong against sluggers yeah.
MOM feels very strong, too strong imo, because you don't need to time it like dead hard, and i don't feel that the aura is that big of a deal when you can hear the heartbeat before even seeing the killer anyway, Definitely going to bite you in the ass against low tr killers or ones that don't care like Huntress or Nurse tho.

Plenty of good perks have come out, but you all are way too busy dry-humping second chance/meta perks to actually try something new. That's the problem with survivors, you have all this variety, yet you call everything that doesn't directly win the game or fix your mistakes trash and unusable.
Since David are you mad? I run Pharmacy all the time to stock up on Medkits so no need for SC and I open chests super fast which saves me time. Dance With Me is great for stealth builds, WoO help new players and solos that want to see what's dropped. Diversion is a meme, but actually works pretty well at times.
Deliverance is insanely strong. Breakdown is great for sabo/anti-tunnel, Aftercare is just Bond/Empathy on crack and I love it, Distortion is just another counter to BBQ with an insane 10s of no marks, but that's a bad perk. Poised is stupid good for getting around undetected.
Also, Prove Thyself buff, Botany Knowledge buff, Adrenaline buff to affect Freddy, Calm Spirit buff, Borrowed Time buff, Alert buff, Lithe buff.
There is no adapting to taking a free hit that cannot be removed unless it's activated. You either play a bugged killer that doesn't proc it, or one that doesn't proc it at all. There is no adapting to it. This is such a nonsensical argument it's painful that so many people use it.
Killers adapting = suck it up cuz we're never going to address it cuz god forbid a survivor complains about something. The game is clearly dropping numbers like mad cuz of OP killers and their broken perks for sure. The same perks they've been using for the last god knows how many patches cuz we never see anything remotely powerful outside of 1-2 perks if they even work on the killers we like to play.
