Game feels like it has only 6 killers
Change my mind because I can't remember when I saw most of 41 killers. Days, weeks, months? I can't remember
But I can remember 6 of them that I see all the time: Nurse, Blight, Ghoul, Wesker, Darklord and for some time after release new one whatever it is now Krasue.
Others killers appear from time to time but they are so rare. Also usualy when they appear they are using most unfun tactics possible like slug all 4.
So is there anyone who feels the same or it is just me?

i think its probably bc they got rid of the killer specific dallies if im honest, they added a nice variation and kinda forced people to play other killers for the blood points
but thats not to ignore the fact that the killers you mentioned are also the strongest in the game, which, why wouldn't anyone want to play them lol - i agree with your statement though, it does feel that way sometimes

It's the dilemma of asking developers to buff the weaker killers who need it, but not asking them to adjust the blatantly overperforming killers as well. When Blight can go on a 2k win streak, why should I bother switching off to Pig, Ghostface, or Myers that get changes? A happy medium for all killers would be best for balance.

I don't know why there's such a huge difference between the killers other people play against and the ones I do. I almost never see Nurse. Blight is rare. I've had a total of three Krasues out of 50+ matches since her release. I go 100 matches without seeing Ghoul. Wesker, I do see. Dracula, a little.
My most recent matches, for example, were Deathslinger, Chucky, Clown, and Micheal. I get a lot of variety. If anything, I get too many Micheals.

yeah cause BHVR refuses to nerf blight or nurse for some reason it is mindblowing, they are hellbent on keeping those two in S tier and not shaking up the killer meta besides new busted DLC that sells well it seems.
so higher mmr is gonna be top tier killers, its been years where i've hoped they would make all killers around A tier and nobody would be in S tier but this is actually never happening they just refuse.
I can't play survivor anymore cause its blight every match and it gets stale real fast, well now it's krasue half of the time which is even a worse experience.

I enjoyed memeing with wolf only Dracula but I guess that was too OP
I play pinhead but I'm apparently the most despised person in dbd.

High MMR (maybe).
U either see S tier, or deal with some p100 on niche killer people struggle to loop, or player is simply cracked
For my lobbies… I see Krasue only now. Saw one Lich as well and it was like a bless of some variability. And I even doubt I’m on so called high MMR. People just obsessed with her. I’m fine with seeing Nurse/Blight tbh, they are skilled related killers, but in solo playing against them is kinda miserable

It entirely depends on what MMR, time of day, and especially Region you're playing in for what you see in your trials.
2 -
100% MMR, when I would play SWF I had the same experience.

He is not the dark lord. His name….is count chocula.

I actually keep track of what killers I get in matches in a spreadsheet (because I'm a lunatic obviously), and honestly? I barely see any Nurses or Blights. Over the last month, the killers I saw the most by a wide margin in 1v4 games (2v8 has it's own spreadsheet) were the Shape and the Animatronic. I've literally only had the Krasue in four matches since she launched.
Admittedly, right after he launched, there was a lot of Ghoul. But the amount of Animatronics after his launch was obscene.

they nerfed his pounce charge by 1/20 of a second, i think you'll be ok

Lower tier killers - especially m1 no mobility killers - depended on regression slowdown to slow the gens down long enough to tear through all the pallets. With all of those practically nuked out of existence, we start to see a lot of Killers simply drop off due to a lack of viability which only leaves killers left like blight and nurse. The problem is, we can't simply buff regression without making blight and nurse more broken than they already are. We are at a stage where balance changes need to stop being global and start directly nerfing the problematic killers while buffing the weaker ones. Every global survivor buff and global killer nerf is just one more nail in the coffin for the m1 no mobility killers.
Killers as a whole arent the problem, killers like blight and nurse (and now kra) are the problem. Survivors keep demanding nerfs to killers or survivor buffs to compete with their power, and BHVR obliges instead of balancing the actual problematic killers. Now all we have left is a small number of viable killers to play. The more killers get nerfed, the more we will start seeing only a handful of killers picked every match. Mass killer nerfs is bad for everyone.

Hello fellow lunatic. I also do this. I have a notebook on my coffee table where I write down match data for my survivor matches, like how many gens got done, how many people escaped, how many people were in the party, and what build I was using. Totally normal behavior indeed.
Your experience is about the same as mine. I played 20 survivor matches the day Springtrap came out. 85% were him (funny enough, I also had a Nurse and a Blight that day too). I still see a fair amount of Springtraps.

I'd like to play Trapper more but that rarely goes well. I used to like Clown and Myers until they implemented their weird changes that made them feel worse than before. Doctor was fun but only when I was in newbie MMR. I guess I could go play Pig and Ghostface? Pig's been buffed and Ghostface… exists.
6 -
Ghostface is bestface.
0 -
Certainly a better Myers than Myers is now.
4 -
Good to know I'm not the only one!
Springtrap numbers decreased about a week or two after his release, but I still see him more than I do any other killer. The only one who comes close would be Myers, which I assume was a result of people playing him mournfully before his rework, and then subsequently playing him to try out the changes
which were horribleIt might just be because of my MMR, but I was pleasantly surprised that after 2v8 ended, I ended up seeing a lot more of the older killers who were part of that game mode (a whole heap of Trappers and Huntresses, but also quite a few Nemesis') that I can only assume were a result of people (like me!) trying out new killers in 2v8 because it's lower pressure, and taking them to normal games.
Also as a lifelong fan of the films, I've been delighted by an uptake in Xenomorphs. Much more enjoyable than that week everyone was playing either Clown or Dredge…

I play with a lot of people of varying skill levels so I feel like I'm usually in the two middle realms of MMR depending on who I'm with.
I had the same assumptions about all the Michaels. I kinda always get a lot anyway too. Nemesis and Pyramidhead are common for me. Dredge I rarely see. Thankfully, not many Clowns either. Quite a few Wraiths lately. Looking over my last few days, it's all really varied. Pig, Ghostface, Sadako--even a Twins and a Skull Merchant.
I'm an Alien fan too but I don't love Xeno. I always do terrible against them.

I've noticed that the Killer roster feels different depending on MMR. I think mine is around low to mid, since I faced Doctor, Dredge, and Xenomorph but I'm also seeing a lot of the newer Killers too.

in my region (Europe) who I face:
- Frequently: Wesker, Blight, Huntress, Myers (even before the rework), Legion, Billy, Dracula, Kaneki
- "Normal" Frequency: All other killers in the game
- Rarely: Trapper, Hag, Twins, Houndmaster, Artist, Skull Merchant

We don’t hate you my friend! 🍰

I still mostly play xeno and skull merchant and random killers on the roster. Sometimes i even play all of them in a row and start with trapper till i get a 3k and then go to wraith, and so on until i go through all of them.
Never liked playing blight or nurse, p100ed ghoul but refuse to play until nerfs or rework, dracula is another p100 i play occasionally, wesker ive hated since his ptb due to most of his players tunneling so i have an aversion to even playing him and krasue i played for the adept then stopped because its ghoul all over again.

>complains about lack of killer variety and people playing same 6 killers that happen to be hardcoded to be viable when played in a "fun way".
>complains about strategies that make wider variety of killers viable
infinite wisdom, im sure if devs just reworked every killer to be like these 6, the variety would def be better, except they would all play identically xd

This wasn't an issue before the new mmr. It was mixed game plays for the most part. Killers and survivors had options of builds and fun killers. You may get some new guys and obliterate them with freddy one game and the next game get obliterated yourself. Don't be upset with blight and nurse, be upset with being forced to play people of your skill level and if your skill exceeds that of fun games against fun killers, it isn't a killer specific issue, it's you and bhvr.
-3 -
All i get are krasue, spirit, nurse, blight, repeat.

agreed, I would love to see buffs/nerfs for certain killers or killer areas to make gameplay more fun
1 -
Agree on Clown, I played him a lot, and with last change he feels closer to what he used to be, but addon variety is what keeps me away from him now. He has one of the best addons variety and came to 3 viable addons. Probably in months they will see stats and it will another Billy Engravings situation: "Oh everyone plays with Haste addons, so we decided to nerf them".

Nuking nurse and blight or other top tier killers wouldn't make the bottom tier killers any stronger r
5 -
Well, that makes me feel better playing Springtrap. I was worried he'd be a popular pick.
0 -
BHVR added more pallets to previously balanced maps so now dealing with the average survivor who just runs Woo + predrop + lithe is miserable for non strong killers.
5 -
Idk who can hate this post, its clearly for two reason first is dailes have changed because old one kinda forced you to play different killers for compleating them and second is there are many killers to choose from but the most fun you can ivest your time and skill and have decent outcomes with them even if you arent super good are those few killers its easy why bother mastering bubba who needs beast marks when free billy or blight are right there and they arent addon dependent as bubba is shocking isnt it.
-1 -
Doesnt surprise me trapper is second worst killer in the game only toped by skullmerchant who was made worst by devs intend, hag is one of rarest killers because all you do is place traps in area creating the "web" and thats all then teleport, hit, again and hook, set a trap and repeat no chase power or something with action just playing some web spider who is just remaking his webb and sits in it or near it thats why she is rare not to mention every patch she is weaker and weaker. Twins are rarest killer in the game with like 2 twins mains because the third one (pixelbrush) left to main merchant, they are best with slugging gameplay and might feel clunky to play as so thats why nobody plays them even they are very strong +a-tier killer. Artist is solid a-tier but all that discribes her can be heard in Otz artist sydrom video like weak old, she has to hit you with one crow and then hit you again or she looses all progress compare to other range killers exept uknown but unknown has more action and chase possibilities with solid mobility, she is easily countered by lockers and elevations or multiple floors, very hard killer for that reasons. Skullmerchant was nuked to be weaker than trapper so theres no reason to play her if you arent her big fan who mains her and has her nice skins.
0 -
True because now if you get better as survivor and get into high end of mmr there is very little space for other killers exept the top tier killers which are common here. Before mmr you could get super good huntress main with x thousands hours and then game after "baby" nurse that teleported 3 times per whole match and chased you as m1 killer or blue eyes wraith who was looped for 5 gens it was random now the bracket are more restricked who you get against your self.
1 -
- I honestly think it's all about fun. Twins has always been considered a strong killer (in all tier lists, they're always in A), but they're truly a very rare killer. On the other hand, Legion and Myers are considered "weak" killers, but they're truly beloved by the community.
5 -
He is good untill you get solid swf, he is one of the most or even most byllyable killer in the game all survivors need is one guy staring at him to get him out of his power and he is then just m1 killer with nothing, smart survivors which kinda know they are 99 will come for bodyblocks when you want to hook to force m1 to loose your stalk progress on them and even survivors which are downed or hooked can reveal you so even they can counter you.
2 -
Twins arent fun for me (and many players I believe), legion is good brain turn off just easy and straight playstyle but then you are m1 which can be very hard against good survivors (m1 is one of weakest forms killer can be in), mayers was fun but weak without tombstone but now he got more nerfs and restrictions forevil incarnate mode if you compare it to onis blood furry mode (oni is clear winner, harder to get his power but has more tools in it and its easier) or pursuer mode where his terror radius in increased from 16 meters to 24 only because he got basekit brutal strenght, yeah thats all usefull he got in tier 2 so nerf for buff its only exchange stealth aspect for some chase tool.
-4 -
it's not that they nerfed his wolf addon as well. you gained 50% charge now it's 30%. getting pounce back in sometimes quite literally one scent orb was huge
3 -
Its inevitable and devs with survivor mains (those which doesnt touch killer and demand global killer nerfs) will notice it when its too late sadly.
-2 -
Oh I know, p100 ghostie main. Over 500 hours on him, alone. Roughly 2500 hours in total. I like the extra challenge of it, but he's certainly weaker than most other killers.
-2 -
I have few hours on him but I faced with him survivors with 4k up to 11k hours and won but worst matchrs were against teams that were swf or supper agressive, whyt I mean by that there was always someone who was knocking me of my power and the swf knew I was ghostface before I could surprise someone because just one of them spot me for 1 second and all knew. These teams I was forced to play as m1 killer like 70-90% of the match which is super bad for ghostface his best way how to play him is either hit and run with building some stalk to get down when they heal or just stalk to 99 and then get instadown but these teams would just counter me and there was very few things I could do such as try to force them to make some mistake and tunnel, slugg. Big problem with ghostface is securing last kill in endgame, mayers can just stay near hook and even without tombstone he can get instadowns on everyone for 1 minute minimaly but ghostface will get revealed by hooked survivor or downed survivor or by someone who is hidden behind the wall or box and he cant do anything just to be forced into m1 killer, thats why I play him less and less because teams that are agressive or swf will just be your biggest counter and pain and theres very little you can do about that with ghostface he needs some solid buffs.
-1 -
I'd love to have that broken system back over what we have now. Every game is now the same as the last once you hit a certain tier. Variety would go a long way again.
0 -
You don't have to be a genius to understand why these selective few are played so much. Read the patch notes.
0 -
I played Pyramid Head today and got complaints, so it doesn't matter. Win or lose survivors will have something negative to say or act toxic. Can't blame people for choosing the stronger ones at this point.
3 -
That system wasnt perfect and wery punishing to new players but which game is different, there should be either two modes like ranked (mmr one) and casual one.
To me it was more fun before but looping killer for 5 gens felt cheap and it gets unfun over time but I understand many would welcome it instead of getting meta blights and other high tier killers with strong builds.

Ghostface is considered d-tier which is kinda true, he can be good if you sneak up on survivors and stalk them why leaning so its fast and then ambush them for fast down or 99 as many as you can and then get them fast (many will force you m1 them to get out of this problem). My problem with ghostface is he is in my opinion one of or the most weakest killer when comes to playing against survivors which have strong teamplay or swf (which are his biggest counter same for trapper, hag) because they will knock you out of your power and block your instadown potencial which makes him just m1 and thats worst state killer can be right now. He is map dependent and when survivors do more gens the are where their objective shortens which makes ghostface weaker to being revealed by them so he actualy is one of few killers which get weaker in endgame insted only stronger and thats huge, imagine situation that you have one guy hooked and other three are coming for rescue and gates are opened or 99 then compare this same situation to mayers and tell me who has more leathal power and means threat to survivors, for me its deffinitely mayers because ghostface has to have each individual survivor marked minimaly 80% of stalk meter to get fast mark and instadown and he can be revealed and suffers 17 seconds (14 with addon) cooldown by every survivor even those on hook, ground can reveal him compare to mayers who just stalks to tier 3 (now evil incarnate) and can have 40 seconds of guarantee instadown on everyone (old mayers had 60 to 100 seconds with aadons) so ghostface is weak at securing kills and is just m1 who is only threat if survivor is 99. I mean his whole counter is survivors just looking at him and they can reveal him with third person camera looking at him when being hidden behind object which just shows how easy he is to counter. I personaly think he should get speedboost like the purple addon (knife sheath is it I think) basekit and more.
4 -
The drop leg knife sheath absolutely should be basekit.

This. We need TARGETED nerfs to those six and buffs to everyone else. Those six killers are holding this game's balance in a stranglehold.
