Why are some of you like this?
1 teammate gets tunneled out. Another sits AFK on their corpse and then waits until me and the other survivor and both hooked, let's me die but saves the other only to then go tell the killer to hook them so they can anticamp self-unhook and try and rat out the last other survivor again, literally running around the whole map with the killer searching every locker etc.
If you want to do this, please do it in customs with your friends.
Am I salty because it was Fallen Refuge and I've been denied my trophy/achievement again? Absolutely.

I hate to say it, but if the trial wasn't cooked in the 3v1 there might be less desperate attempts to barter with the Killer.

ive won a plenty of 3v1s if there arent like 3+ gens left to do.
all it takes is a few good chases and people sticking to gens & not dying on them.

i just had a match like this, i was the one on hook while i had to watch the last survivor aura hide in the corner. killer stayed near me, i unhooked, i ran straight to the other survivor so they can heal me….is it my fault the killer followed me and downed them? nope. is it my fault the killer decided to give me the hatch instead of the rat? nope. i just wanted to play the match and get healed :)

While I agree, I do wish players wouldn't opt for the scummy behaviour of working with the killer to further make it a miserable game for the rest of the lobby.
If you don't want to participate, just die on hook. It's still irritating but at least someone else may get a lucky hatch escape or even try to push the objective as much as they can.

The creative ways player have to sabotage the game is astonishing.

It's a shame BHVR had to go and make it harder to die on hook. If someone gets tunneled out or gives up on first hook, there's hardly a point to playing the match anymore.

10/10 valid if I was killer I would give you hatch for a new pet rat as that sounds like a great trade

I have too, but it really depends on a lot. Lose enough of them and you start to lose hope and that leads to giving up/begging the Killer for an out.
We did have that option before and it was removed. If DCing was considered more of a white flag (since you're replaced with a bot), I don't think it'd be as bad. As is, you have poor balancing and low morale plus harsher punishments for not committing once you've queued up. The grip has to be loosened somewhere.
100%. That's why I say I haven't noticed an uptick in the quality of my trials so much as I've been forced to stick out bottlenecked trials until the Killer decides to down all of us.

If dcing would be more accessible, i would just quit. Bots are most of the time useless, sometimes even infuriating. They are spooked by the TR, easily to kill and sometimes buggy.
They are only useful if the killer is dumb enough to chase a good looper and they are just on a gen.

Yeah, but at this point I consider taking a break. Plus I remember those that I did win and it gives me hope instead.
I once had fallen refuge pub blight tryharding with 5 slowdowns and getting a tunnel out at like 4 gens and we popped all of them in 3v1 cuz randos locked in, held the chase while blight was clearly shaking for this $20k tournament price pot and refusing to properly commit, ending up running out of kicks and losing the gens.
I dont really know how the match ended, he killed me in endgame and I didnt really care to see how it ended, I think he did get outed cuz one of randos was on gates, while me and other teammates were distracting, but it was a good proof of concept to never stop trying.

That's fair. I mean players are quitting anyway by punishing it. It's unavoidable.
Those are the ones that usually exhaust me the most.
I got very lucky with a solo group where we all had great synergy against a Spirit that was aggressively tunneling and slugging all trial and we all got out. I did enjoy playing with the other Survivors, but it was deflating to see how far a Killer could get with such a cheesy strat and how screwed we would've been had MMR not have given us a golden ticket.
Naturally, I got to see how screwed the trial after. And the trial after that. 😛

I think these games are the best. DbD is at its most memorable when you clutch those impossible games and that is often accomplished when MMR DOES in fact happens to WORK for once and not just put you in a lobby with 3(4) weak links cuz killer is marginally better to the point there's no competition or vica versa.

I was thinking about this the other day, and I came to the conclusion that some people HATE playing dbd. But for a multitude of reasons, they play it anyway. And they decide that if the game is miserable, they're going to "make it fun in their own way." And yes, that could include ratting out their teammates while having a good time with the killer. Other people are angry powder kegs, just waiting to go off. You'll never know what set them off, maybe you didn't go in for the unhook fast enough or accidentally ran by them while the killer was chasing you. But now they're gonna "become besties with the killer" to get even for whatever wrongs they believe you or somebody else did them in the match.

or they are just trying escape like any other survivor? true some people dont really like the game but there is no alternative at the moment as other asymmetrical games have died so they could be making the best of a bad situation by making do with whats available? while there are some obvious trolls and griefers around, i think some people are just doing what they can to survive. It just so happens that what 1 person might be doing what they can to survive and escape wont have the same plan or same method as a random person they are teamed with. 1 might be trying to do gens to get that gate open, 1 might be trying for hatch (there are hatch challenges in the game) 1 might be trying to meme, 1 might be going for adept…cant please everyone
