I have no main… thx 👍
So I’ve been trying to find a new main since Skull merchant got gutted in October of last year but Dbd has kinda been making that hard for me since because I swear it genuinely feels like the game just doesn’t want me to play killer because
- Skull merchant got gutted last year and is getting reworked into dashslop.
- I was extremely hyped for Springtrap until I was just drop kicked by disappointment
- Sadako was changed so many times to the point where I don’t know what she dose anymore
- Trapper gets nothing every update
- Myers was turned into Dashslop
- Houndmaster is a bug fest
Like seriously who do I main at this point? Like I'm genuinely curious.
(I was going to post this tomorrow, but I accidentally hit the button while editing this.)

i used to main myers but i might just main my 2nd guy….pyramid head. decent anti loop and not that bad at tunneling.
-3 -
I currently main xeno and dracula. But i do still play a lot of skull merchant with a stealth build, still gets results
5 -
Honestly, I don’t really blame you because I just don’t think Myers is fun rn.
3 -
I dont main anyone. I aspire to a high level of proficiency on many Killers.
Jack of all trades, master of none, still much better than a master of one.

honestly fair enough I respect the hell out of you if that’s what you do more power to you but I’ve always loved focusing on one particular character to where you can understand them inside and out, it just feels very rewarding you know? Like you’re getting the maximum potential out of the character.

I play a variety of killers but play Myers the most. I'll still play Myers after his rework it just doesnt hit the same. Now if Diablo were too come to the game he would be my main day one of his release. I have been playing alot more Wraith though and have begun to realize how hard the double cloak speed addon and make your choice combo goes.

Myers rework was really bad and low effort. Skull Merchant being gutted for this long is ridiculous and insulting to those who spent money on her.
Springtrap is a fair and balanced killer though, and new Sadako is not that hard to understand if you look into her new power.
However, one thing really bothers me is you saying Pig is suddenly dashslop since her QoL updates. She was always a dash killer, just her dash was weaker than other and could only really be used at certain tiles.
BHVR actually handled Pig really well. They didn't destroy her RBT potential (although they did try) while they also buffed her dash in a meaningful enough way that it is a threat on a lot more tiles and survivors can't just leave the tile the moment she crouches and make it to the next one, but also making it not a free hit like newer killers so that she still feels rewarding.
I wish BHVR treated more killers like how they handled Pig and not just straight up gutting them and reworking them like Myers and Skull Merchant.

Water Logged Shoe + Willow Wreath on Hag does a decent job of emulating Skull Merchant gameplay, give that a try.
- Place a "drone" at a tile
- "drone" detects a survivor
- Survivor is hindered & you see their aura for 5 seconds
Also Water Logged Shoe makes Hag move at like 4.7 m/s or something, so she's actually faster than Skull Merchant.
I can't believe what happened to Skull Merchant man, why haven't they given her back her second scan line?🤕 She wouldn't be in that bad of a spot if they didn't take that scan line.

I never said Springtrap was bad. I just said he was kind of disappointing to me.
1 -
hillbilly or nurse. very unlikely to get changed in the near future and are strong fun killers also f2p
once tyhe dust settles krasue could be a good main as well depending on the patches

I find this funny because to me it was the extreme opposite. I was a huge huntress player, then became really good with slinger, fell in love with unknown and then to my surprise as a fnaf fan, springtrap was a proyectile killer with a high skill ceiling, I was drowned in hype.
I main him too, while he is by no means strong against good players, the amount of cool shots you can do is amazing, his skill ceiling is so high its insane, you can genuinly shut down jungle gyms in seconds if you are good enough.
Also I was glad he wasnt a stealth joke like gf or pig that can be looped until dbd 2 comes out.

Ive always changed mains. I just get bored easily.

Skull merchant was an irreparably bad kit for both sides
Feel free to be disappointed with springtrap but it's not like they are boring to play or super generic with their heavy hatchet
Sadako might as well be compared directly to tombstone myers with how terrible they were outside of one playstyle.
Traper has actually gotten a ton even if that doesn't increase his tier much, although increasing his tier significantly would result in trash gameplay too(it's ok if so entry level killers aren't good due to their kits)
Pig was always dash based and pure trap gameplay is just boring for everyone(m1 sim while one dude tries to force chase ig)
Myers? Sure, whatever. Unless referring to tombstone
No comment on houndmaster.
Every killer you mentioned besides Houndmaster, springtrap and trapper have all been extremely problematic when viable to the point were I'm sure majority of survivors would rather face old alch ring blight than play against those killers in their optimal way. Between old skull merchant and sadako it's like you wait for bhvr to drop killers that are by default d tier unless played in the most anti-gameplay way possible.
I've mained bubba, blight, P-head, neme and hag being my first. A very wide variety, I am not being biased towards you, it just seems you have locked yourself in on very trash designs for some reason.
If you pick based on theme and visuals then you're just plain unlucky.

oh I’m not complaining about tombstone that needed to go. I’m mainly talking about how they turned him into dashslop.
-1 -
I find Springtrap extremely boring to play as
2 -
i agree with this to an extent, i have a rotation of a lot of killers but there are some i refuse to play like hag.

Myers and Pig were turned into Dashslop
Pig??? The one who has had a dash since DAY ONE?
Whoever coined the term "dashslop" has done irreparable damage to the community. #2 misused term of all time honestly.
6 -
Pig is not dashslop! How can she be when she was the first licensed killer with an ability like ambush? and I will not let you slander her good name like that in the mud.
5 -
honestly it really just depends like how far does it go now?
-1 -
Watch the video I linked. You might find the content of interest on this topic.
1 -
ight I’ll give it a watch
0 -
I’m pretty sure Pixelbush coined the term
1 -
The Twins main complaining about killers that go fast and hit the Survivor???
2 -
he hasn’t played twins for a while, i’m pretty sure he plays skull merchant now
0 -
I can agree with this, but Pig is an OG dasher. She wasn’t turned into one.
0 -
I main Plague and Oni, it's pretty fun
Might give a try to PH
1 -
OK I literally just watched this while making an omelette and yeah, i can definitely see your point.
0 -
Pig is not dashslop, what are you on about?
0 -
yeah, I just realized that. Probably should’ve edited that out.
1 -
Theres 2 PH's lol
2 -
I understand. I've always found it much too boring to dedicate myself completely to one Killer.
Variety is the spice of life after all.
1 -
does bro play any killer that's not horrific to play against?
1 -
There are also some i don't play, also like Hag
0 -
I don’t know what your talking about, Skull merchant is easy af to play against
-2 -
Easy has nothing to do with how pleasant a Killer is to face. Also, they keep advocating for old SM to return.
For example, Legion isn't a strong Killer, but boy does he suck to play against.
4 -
OK yeah I definitely understand that I’d rather go against a Wesker 8 times in a row than ever go against the mending simulator
-2 -
I'm don't follow your position of "wanting to main one killer where you can understand them inside and out" in contrast to your frustration over "making it so difficult for me to be good at one killer."
If you're going to invest time in learning one (and only one) killer, the nerf's have extended the shelflife of your main by forcing you to develop a deeper understanding of the killer.
If you're only playing one killer, the last thing you need are buffs. It is the people who play every killer who need buffs to offset their "shallow" knowledge.0 -
try out dredge he has funny moments when teleporting and gets pressure fast as well as built in "stealth" with the night mode and also has decent counterplay against pallets with his remnant along with the fact he is very ballenced and really just takes skill and time to get good at
1 -
Its easy but not pleasant at all, she is horrible to verse and outplaying her is unrewarding and uninteresting. The only pleasant part of a skull merchant match is the endgame screen.
1 -
sounds like fun, I’ve always had dredge I just never really played him too much.
0 -
Oupsie, meant PyramidHead
1 -
How many months since they teased the Skull Merchant rework? Six at least. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I liked to play her, she was maybe in my top 5 most played killers. It would be nice if the rework finally come with the Quality of Life initiative update. Not a big fan of the drones becoming hunting machines instead of zoning tools but I want to try her anyway.
1 -
hope you enjoy my favorite killer to play
and if he starts getting boring start giving yourself side tasks like dont get anyone second hook until everyone is first hook, you can still hit/down people but not hook them until they are on the same stage as everyone else
its just a fun little idea but its not mandatory though I do hope you implement the idea sometime with any killer/survivor you play
1 -
honestly same even though I don’t like what the design previews have given us so far. Either way I still wanna try her out when it does happen because at the end of the day she was and still is my favorite killer to an extent.
