Confirmation that they are planning some Mikey changes
I just asked one of the devs on Reddit if they are planning to make some changes to Mikey, and they confirmed that they are. We just don't have an ETA on them. But they are happening.

It's silly how often BHVR creates more work for themselves by touching things that didn't need to be touched. There was no reason to change Myer's power to be a chargeable dash attack. It was perfectly fine that he was an M1 killer who stalks to become stronger.

I hope they keep the current framework of the rework but revert the stalk and tr nerfs and remove slaughtering Strike in favor of how his old tier 3 worked, kinda like the Iri addon he has.

Things that people actually complained about:
- Some of his addons felt extremely awful as survivor
- It felt unfair being able to do things like have a 4m terror radius in T2, holding onto a 99% stalk, sneaking up to a survivor… and then instantly tapping to T3 to either one-shot or mori the survivor before the survivor can properly react.
Things that people absolutely did not complain about:
- Myers having an M1 lunge attack
The new dash just doesn't make sense. It's worse than having the super lunge , because the dash has too much counterplay. But BHVR made the "give me the super lunge instead" addon have such a low rarity, that killers can bypass the new dash in every game.
If we aren't allowed to have a reliable dash ability, then get rid of it. Unreliable killer powers are not fun. And if the dash needs to be unreliable in order to exist… then it shouldn't exist.

Exactly. I thought he felt great after his previous update. They should have used the time and bandwidth to sort out Twins or another killer.

I hope that they will revert Tier 3 to be Exposed based again.
But, tbh, I can't see them scrapping the changes fully. Maybe we could get a middle ground like this? ↓

Why would it not be? People complain about killers being weak but they deserve to be weak if they aren't going to take as much skill as other killers

He's an M1 killer. That in itself is the challenge to excel. Its crazy to think he doesn't deserve buffs because of that.

They are out of touch with community current concerns. Remember that they planned Plague changes? Considering how much other killers need attention and how in a good spot Plague is it was very weird that BHVR considered her as priority for changes.
They really need to listen to the community concerns to focus their attention, otherwise they will.just throw away precious time that could be used to fix real issues of the game.

I honestly think the Slaughtering Strike would've been fine if it kept the lunge feel.
Instead, they gave it a turn cap and a 6 second cool-down, which feels DRASTICALLY worse. If it had a reasonable turn cap and no cool-down (like regular lunges) I doubt there'd be many complaints.
Most Myers players I've come across lately have been using Tuft of Hair. They really need to make this attack feel better to use.

This is what they say about literally everything, from the swamp rework promised like five years ago to Skull Merchant to anti-tunnel to bug fixes to that cute fanart they saw. If you go through any AMA, it's like 80% of their responses.
It is corporate speak for nothing. Can we stop celebrating getting an empty response instead of them making actual fixes and updates?

That's not a challenge, it's just not possible against a good team, and if it was then it would take minimal skill expression because that's how basic m1 killers work

M1 killers have no map mobility, no anti loop etc. They have to play optimally at pressuring gens, mind gaming as best they can at loops to get fast downs. That is massive skill expression.
In no reality should M1 killers be denied buffs just because mechanically they're simple. Buffing them hardly elevates them into A or S tier status.

Blight has one of the most braindead easy skills to use. The mechanical skill it takes to use him is WAAAAAY overestimated. Even if you never actually hit someone with it, his ability to chew through pallets and cover distance more than makes up for it.
By your own logic, Skull Merchant should be one of the most overpowered killers in the game when played well because of how hard she is on both a macro and micro level.
Oh wait…she's actually still the worst killer in the game even at optimal play.

He really needs the ability to switch back to stealth mode at 100 Stalk instead of being locked out.
Stalk should also not decay, given all its tells.
I'd also remove the sound cue for having full stalk.
Easy fixes to make him more threatening/allow stealthier gameplay.

Blight should have momo tech removed, he's easily savageable since he has depth in other areas, meanwhile killers like old myers had absolutely no depth in any areas. Either be content with killers like that being weak or be content with them being reworked to have depth added

No that's skill, when you have to compensate for what the killer lacks with your own game sense.

You have to compensate with your own game sense on every killer in the game when you're against good players, just old Myers is one of the killers you have to do so the least since he had no depth and you would lose vs good players no matter what u did

M1 killer need a lot more compensation. You got to make best use of what they have and then fill in the rest of the gaps yourself with your own game skills. That's why M1 killers require more skill expression, because you got to go the extra mile with them.

M1 has only basekit bloodlust and mind games which doesnt work on every loop or against every survivor. People especialy the ones which doesnt play m1 killers against solid loopers kinda forget how weak they are and most m1 killers have weakest powers in the game they need buffs.

You're out of touch with reality if you think killers take more skill just because they're weak, m1 killers don't need to compensate any more than other killers, in reality they have to fill in even less because m1 gameplay is easy af to master compared to other killers and never unique to them
