Extra pallets don't matter when you've got teammates throwing pallets like it's 2v8
I still feel like the extra pallets change is going to benefit survivors in higher mmr more than some in lower mmr. Because more experienced survivors will often loop and save resources and chain tiles, so they're going to get a whole lot more use out of the extra pallets. As opposed to lower mmr/less experienced survivors who, instead of looping, will just contune to hold forward and throw down every pallet they can get their hands on before they get downed. I tend to think windows of opportunity adds to some of this going on more often than not.
At any mmr, though, if you have even one teammate who gets hit and does the "panic pallet chicken run" you're not going to notice the effect of all those extra pallets as a survivor. So I can't really say it's a major improvement for survivor at my end. I know some people think "you have to do whatever you have to do to avoid a hook state." But pallets are also resources that make the game easier, especially later in the game as you're trying to buy your teammates time to get the last gen done. Having a ton of gens left to do with exactly zero pallets anywhere is also not much fun either.
And yes, I do run Any Means Necessary to try and save pallets. Which I seldom get pallet raising use out of because most killers simply break pallets instead of leaving them. I mostly just run it as an aura reading perk.

But if there were only a few strong pallets, the problem would be worse.
So i think more weaker pallets allows more skill expression and is better for insta-throwers. So its the better way for both skill groups.
My main problem are killer with absolutely no chase power who need to kick pallets or wait for bloodlust at high mmr, but i guess there are plenty of strong killer with over 40 now.
But back to your problem: how would you fix that? It sounds annoying with such teammates, but i see no way to fix that.

Proper skill-based matchmaking would be a good start.

Fair enough. But i think the current is fine for that. I play well and get no pallet-thrower teammates. I barely have a match where i have no pallets left. Quite the opposite, i sometimes lose (2 dead) and weh have still unuswd god pallets.

I wonder if people already forgot, or majority just didn't play back them, but at start we got strict matchmaking and it was just really bad.
Well, separate issue is the system of MMR is flawed, especially for survivors.
But I am sure skill-based matchmaking is still a thing simply because I am able to see what kind of survivors I see on my account and when I play killer on my girlfriend's account.
You can also see that in 2v8, where MMR is basically ignored for sake of queue times.1 -
maybe its finally time to nerf windows of OP :p kidding, obviously!
no but for real, its bad how easy it is for survs to just run to yellow and drop and repeat until they rinse half the map before 4 gens lmao like maybe they could reduce distance window/pallet auras are shown or something idk it feels kinda obnoxious to verse when you know they're not rly that good and are just running to yellow, and now theres more yellow 👹 also might increase aces perk open handed's pick rate if they want it that bad and makes them run 2 perks for it which imo feels fair af considering how much of a clutch it literally is (dont come at me its true)
ik its an information perk and everyones always been like "its more of a nerf to new gamers if you nerf info perks yadada" but still people be downplaying how strong it actually is and now its just like 10x worse lmaoo
(im surv main btwwww)
pallet situation is kinda wild, but also so is krasue and kaneki and nurse and blight and spirit
just sucks to be m1 killer atm i guess
