Why is the new rift filled with recolors?
There are 6 cosmetics, for Ace, Yun-Jin, Vittorio, Claudette, Trickster and Spirit.
Every other cosmetic in there is a recolor of these 6 (which previously iirc was exclusive to deep rifts) and Claudette's head piece isn't available atm.
In previous rifts you got more cosmetics or am I just misremembering?

Yeah. At first glance I'm not sure if we're getting fewer premium skins or if we're getting fewer free skins and they just compressed how the skins are released across the rift.
On the one hand, I like getting the premium skins sooner because then I can actually play with them while I work on the rift instead of having to wait a month for the one I want. On the other hand, there is a long climb at the end where you're not really getting anything new and you're just trying to earn your cells back.

where are the old cosmetics recolors. we've had them in every rift since i started playing 2 years ago. someone please tell me the rift is bugged.

They, BHVR as a whole that is, won't get any sympathy from me on that front. They couldn't fit in recolors? Couldn't finish the Claudette cosmetic in time? Well, whose fault is that? Why did they allot only 10 weeks for the last Rift then? This end of the year rift is hanging around for nearly 4 months. They can't even claim that they had a deadline to stick to when the midchapter was moved nearly two months ago. If this Rift needed more time, they should have given it more time.

Thats not our problem. The rift is hugely nerfed and worse. If they cant keep up with pumping every month a DLC with skin collections, maybe they should lower it a bit then.

surely it cannot be that hard to make RECOLORS of old skins. especially compared to making 6 new ones.

Otherwise, yeah this rift feels really empty and it feels like with every rift, the quality goes down: The Anguish rift was really nice with five killers (Knight, Plague, Trapper, Blight, and Huntress) and three survivors (Jane, Thalita, Renato) as well as some recolors, badges, charms, and banners. Then, they reduced the amount of new skins to four survivors and two killers for the Overgrowth and Entombment rift. In addition, even though they are really annoying but the killer skins from the Anguish rift had special chain sound effects while the Overgrowth rift skins had special animations and for the Dredge one some sound cues. Then, the Entombment rift had nothing special even though the skins have a high rarity/the same like the ones before. Now, the new rift has very little. I really love the skins and recolors as well as the charms, badges, and banners but no skins in the free track and no recolors or something else in the premium track. The rift is overall just empty compared to the ones before.
The cosmetic team does an amazing job and always give us great skins but this time, I'm disappointed by the fact that we get so little compared to the rift befores.

It takes effort to make nice recolours. And I would rather have nice recolours than the thing where they make everything lime green or bright red or something. But I agree this is a downgrade from what we've gotten in the past.

I have noticed too there are few skins and their rift variants are much sooner in rift, strange they didnt put there some recolored older skins.

They completely removed the recolors of cosmetics that already exist.
There were 5 in the Overgrowth Rift.
There are 0 in this one.

Well, had a quick glance on the new rift yesterday and was happy it's awful - I won't have time to play anytime soon, so no FOMO here. And sorry for us all guys, this rift is a joke..

That was the first rift I don't feel happy at for a long time really.
Last rift wasn't my favorite because I don't like flowers, but it was better.
It's unlucky that every female character has big dress.

this new rift only proves to me that this game already needs the old yeller treatment.
