Still No Info About the Switch 2 Version?
Guys, i know there are already several posts about this topic, but I honestly find it absurd that we still don’t even have a release date (or any solid information) for the Nintendo Switch 2 version (Already know about the lack of developers kit, but that was months ago).
The current Switch version is absolutely terrible — the performance, graphics, and overall experience are just unacceptable in 2025. I originally play on PS5 and bought the Switch 2 specifically to be able to play DBD and other games while away from home, but DBD runs so poorly that it’s basically unplayable.
At this point, it really feels like there’s a complete lack of interest and respect from the dev team towards the Switch community. We deserve at least some transparency and an update on whether a proper version is even in development.
And about the updates, I can’t play with my friends while we are using different versions of the game. It feels so amateur, sincerely.

Ye we deserve an optimised fps/performance and graphical fidelity update being a Nintendo Switch 2 version of DBD.
The community has requested this a lot over these past 4 months since the Switch 2 has been released.

my guys they can't even keep the DBD on switch up to date with the rest of the community. Why would you expect them to prioritize the switch 2 which I'm guessing makes up like 0.05% of DBD players.
Switch 2 is a bad console that was really only designed to play Nintendo licensed games. Like nintendo doesn't even want you to fully own your copy of switch 2 games, you think they're gonna make it easy for non-nintendo competitors to develop games on their early 2000s era technology ah console.
DBD for switch 2 will prbly release after GTA 6 and Elder Scrolls 6 lol2 -
Spoken like an pc/stream deck fanboy, Nintendo Switch 2 is by far an excellent console.
Stop with the hate on Switch 2, It has already out preformed the stream deck and outsold it.
Switch 2 deserves an optimised version of DBD on it period.

Mandy has mentioned on a previous post at this time they have no intention of doing a Switch 2 version.

Pretty much either no dev kit or time to spare. I wish they just abandon switch 1 and make it switch 2 hate it say it.

Because DBD is a live service game they cannot drop any platform the game is on until Nintendo officially stops support for it (prolly next year) or the game physically cannot be run on it anymore.

It doesnt have the specs for UE 5 anymore to run good so yes that has happened already.

You'd be astonished how many players still play DBD on a Switch 1

Great it still runs bad BUT if that is all you have then you play with what you have. My issue is DBD devs know the hardware cant handle the V-Ram needed to run the game.

When I played DBD on my old Xbox1x it also struggled to run the game well too. Mostly it's due to how the game was originally coded and their iffy optimization. My Xbox Series X runs it better of course, but it can depend on what's happing in the game, which map etc.
Back in May 2019 they set a goal to get all platforms running at 60 fps minimum. After a couple of years they fessed up that they just couldn't do it. Not because of the capabilities of the platforms it was out on, but because of an apparently insurmountable resource bottlenecking issue internally.
It's why even the strongest machines out there can have issues running the game at times, and they also can notice the resource hog DBD can be.

Please look up why games cant run and right now the Switchs 2GB of ram is not capable of running the game the memory is too low. This is why the game looks like a mess and plays like i.
