In my opinion spirit needs a rework
I just want to say I think spirit is a cool killer and I don't mind her being strong and such. I am not fully for sure on how to change her as well. The issue is with her is she is a nightmare for people who are hard of hearing. As someone who is hard of hearing myself. I can't hear when she is in power and what direction she is it. So its a 99% chance I will just lose and it does not feel good. I don't like the killer uses that i cant hear well against me. So how will you guys change this to make it fair. Well ideas from the community.

Her phasing sound is now non-directional, so it's harder to tell exactly where she's coming from. The way to deal with her is to focus on positioning. I'd recommend watching videos from the Killer perspective to better understand how Spirit players think and plan their match.
Edit: I changed the video with one that shows examples of the chase.

Since when is it non-directional again?

I had to double check because I thought patch 2.3.0 change was still the same, but it turns out that survivors within 24 meters can hear a directional cue. I haven't played against her in several months either, so that explains why I missed that, my bad.

When I play with headphones I totally understand where it's coming from. I don't think I'm the only one.🤣0 -
- I have the same problem with Dredge. I'm visually impaired, and playing against Dredge is a nightmare. But I don't think (and I'm not asking for) it to be modified. I think accessibility issues are only taken into account when playing Killer. In fact, (from what I understand), the fog vials were modified due to accessibility issues for Killers. It's a strange logic, anyway.

Not really, doctor got his whole jumpscare mechanic scrapped because of accessibility, same with clown bottles and the blurr effect. On that line of OP, unless you fully play with auras, if you are hard of hearing killer is also pretty bad because as a whole dbd relies a lot in audio cues. As such really the only way to make it fair for people who are hard of hearing would be overhauling a lot of game mechanics, like what they did with the visual terror radius.

spirit will always be an accessibility issue, I fear. I miss when she had Father's Glasses so at least the hearing impaired could play her.
