Dying State Changes Pitch
I'm aware that when the devs did their Dying State changes, there was outrage. So I'll try to avoid repeating their mistakes, and try making all new ones.
Anti-Camp: Add Anti-Camp features to Survivors in the Dying State.
Anti-Camp Pause: To protect Killer players from being in a loose-loose scenario, the Dying State's Anti-Camp meter that I mentioned earlier will pause if another survivor is nearby. I know first hand how hard some survivors will try to save their friends, and so leaving Killer's with a method of counter play is a necessity that cannot be avoided. It is likely that the radius detecting survivors for Anti-Camp puase will need to be larger than the radius detecting killers for Anti-Camp, to make up for perks like background player.
Adjust Killer powers: Adjust killer powers to recognize the dying state and recovery from the Dying state the same way that they recognize the hooked and unhooked states. For example when playing against the Krasue, you loose the Leeched when hooked. With these adjustments however, you would loose Leeched when in the Dying state as well.
Adjust recovery speed: Increasing the recovery speed while in the dying state could make it so that you'll be capable of being saved much sooner.
My hope for these changes is to acknowledge slugging as a necessary part of the game, while trying to make it not any more rewarding than hooking. This is coming from someone who does not slug all too often, so there is likely something I missed. The most common complaint I hear is that slugging is too boring, and I think treating it to the same standards that we treat something like hooks would make it much better. Hopefully someone more experienced in slugging/getting slugged has a better alternative than I.

I know this complaint will sound silly but couldn't the anti-camp feature that you propose technically be abused since a survivor can now recover and move? If the killer left the slug theoretically the slug could just try and follow the killer so that they could pick themselves up.

Thanks for the feedback. I had a similar concern when typing this, but ultimately think a slugged survivor is likely too slow to intentionally follow the killer.

They could always run tenacity which might make this worse.

I dunno what game you've been playing, but survivors can't recover and move at the same time. That was one of those anti-slugging changes that the devs basically threw in a dumpster when people complained about the PTB. They can't even do that with tenacity now, because it got nerfed also.

I haven't played survivor in a bit, I did think that this changed had been pushed through but after checking the patch notes it hasn't. Still tenacity would have an effect as you would assume that the "anti-camp" function wouldn't rely on the recover function.

All good. We all thought those changes were getting pushed through, but as of when I got slugged yesterday by a huntress for 90% of the game, I can confirm, you can't crawl and recover. They already made the change to Tenacity to account for the change they didn't put through, so now it just provides a crawling speed bonus (half of the speed bonus it provided before, on top of the ability to crawl and recover).

I'm probably going to edit this post. I think that getting the off-hook protections on recovery and the dying speed adjustments are some of my lesser ideas in hindsight. I'm just going to put down some screenshots of what they were before, since the point of this is to be more about tossing some ideas around, and hopefully getting other people to think of how they want their own version of these changes.
