Why is there not a single old woman among the survivors? And will there be more legendary TWD skins?
Just realised that there's no old female survivors, while watching TWD and also hearing news about Maggie skin coming.
Overall curious why there's no old girlies or why was Maggie chosen for Legendary TWD skin over Carol, especially considering TWD Daryl Dixon series and the opportunity to add first older woman.

Marketing is crucial. My guess is that if they ever make an older looking survivor, she'd need to look cool or at least have a strong lore to make her stand out.
I don't know how much realism matters behind the scenes, but I don't think an old woman would run with the same animations as the 20 year old survivors, unless she's meant to be athletic or not much older than 50.
I think Vittorio did well because they made him attractive.-5 -
I doubt they'll be adding any older Survivors in future, to be honest. Not unless they are licensed, anyway. And even that's no guarantee. We could have had Barry Wheeler wearing fairy lights from Alan Wake as a Legendary but we got Rose Marigold instead 🙃
Vitorrio's meant to be in his 50's yet he doesn't look a day over 30 (even though he's from an era that hadn't invented sunscreen or toothpaste yet). Nope, we'll be getting 20 something cuties from now until the end of days because that's what sells to the player base.

Vittorio isnt even that old, he is roughly the same age as Wesker. Ash is older, Nick Cage depends and of course Bill.

Well, there's also Geralt, Bill, Ash Williams (if he's from the series, he's like 50), Alan Wake is around 50, Jeff doesn't feel young either.
While there are i think literally 0 old female survivors
Would be really nice to have just 1 old girlie at least.
I'm begging BHVR to read this thread and consider Carol from TWD. She's literally hardcore surviving alongside Daryl in THE THEThe Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol
And, well, they already have Daryl skin in the game, so I would sell my soul for at least her xd

Didn't they change Laurie's face from the Actress' to a unique one when they did survivor model updates? I assume they could add old Laurie now, just not with the face of the actress

Jamie Lee Curtis is proud of being part of the Halloween franchise, and always gives it credit for giving her the career she has. I don't think she would have any objections to her likeness being used. Its a matter of cost. Same as with Sigourney Weaver as Ripley. The reason Dbd's Ripley looks nothing like her isn't because Weaver hates the Alien Franchise (she doesn't). Its because it would be very pricey to get her likeness.

She was in Halloween Ends just a few years ago. As far as I understand, she doesn't watch horror and doesn't get the appeal. It's not like vicious hatred or anything. She just thinks they're scary.

I was hoping for an older lady with Steady Pulse, but it turned out it was Orela.
But yeah, I don't get why they are so unwilling to add a single older woman in this game.
They have Bill, after all.

The Halloween Chapter licenced in DBD is only for the first movie. Even the couple cosmetics they have are based off a comic book series, and Laurie's face is based off those comics rather than Jamie Lee Curtis too.
Unfortunately, when asked about potential collabs to get more movie content like Myers with the 2018 Mask and Old Laurie, the response was that even if BHVR is on good terms with both the OG movie licence holders (successfully partnered since 2016) and the makers of the modern trilogy (making a movie with Blumhouse + FNAF Chapter support), BHVR "has an understanding" with the licence holders that lets them get the current Halloween content in the game and it does seem like we'll see anything else.
Kinda sad, but I'd be fine if this rework ends up sticking the landing and we can still get Myers in 2v8 sometime down the line.

Vittorio is centuries older than any other survivor if we look at his lore. Bill and Ash are a good argument, but they're iconic licensed characters who've both been through dangerous situations before.

Okay, this goes back to what I said from the beginning, good visuals are good marketing. I used Vittorio as an example of a visually strong concept. If I'm right about consumer appeal, this could explain why there aren't older female survivors (yet).

I get marketing and selling cute girls to players, but lowkey they could just make 5 billion Sable, Mikaela, Feng and Vee skins. If the reason is actually that "old woman will not sell", makes me a bit sad honestly.
Considering Haddie and communtiy reaction to her release, I assume behaviour could afford making not conventionally attractive character at least once to test waters or something.
(Or Carol TWD skin) Maybe Wendy Torrance (novel edition - around 50)? Having Shining would be a BIG license too3 -
If you stare hard enough at Zarina she starts to look much older than every other female survivor.
Other than that maybe we will get Old Linda from casting of frank stone since they held his cosmetic back, maybe to make a chapter or something.

It might be because they only got the rights to Alan Wake 2, not 1 or American Nightmare. But I don't know if that's the case or not.

They do have Alan's outfits from AW1 and American Nightmare for purchase in the store.
Personally, I would have chosen Sheriff Breaker or Barry over Rose Marigold, but I'm biased since I've only played the first game.

It's not necessarily about their feelings towards their franchises, but perhaps more about not wanting to see their likeness attached to such graphic and pointless deaths. Weaver was in the Alien: Isolation game but iirc she only agreed because she loved the idea of Amanda getting to connect with her mother. So it seems she's definitely not adverse to giving her likeness, but she wants it to be used with purpose.

Rose has a hilarious mini game in 2 where she's blasting monsters with a shotgun and dropping one-liners so the choice made some sense.
