Slugging and tunneling
dear behavior,
please do something about the slugging and tunneling. Over the last 20-30 matches I can count on one hand in how many matches at least 1 survivor made it out of the game. In almost every match I have either all lose because the killer slugs them all when he sees he loses the game especially the last 2 survivors or he tunnels every single one of them.
To be honest I’m not even having fun anymore as a survivor. It’s not normal that 17 out of 20 matches, every single survivor loses.

Again. Slugging and tunneling is a playstyle you can counter. Instead of crying on the forum you can pop on some unbreakable, ds, conviction, off the record and so on.

They shouldn't come at all. How are survivors punished for rushing gens? Unhooking in killer face? Etc. Why survivors can rush their objective with no punishment but killers can't? Killers have to bring multiple slowdown perks to have a chance to win, if survivors don't want to be tunneled or slugged there are plenty of perks to chose from.

What is your average escape rate? I see that you frequently post how “miserable” the solo queue experience is, so I’m curious how often you escape.

I defienetly never said that solo q is miserable. The game is most survivor-sided it ever been to the point that solo survivor is an absolute powerhouse. I play since 2017 and now it's easiest to play survivor to the point where it's just boring to get free wins, if you wanna say how many things been added then:
- many exhaustion perks that you can recharge in 20s with vigil
- so many ways to heal
- UI to said what are teamates doing
- very strong maps
- pretty busted perks - conviction, dramaturgy, boons etc.
- basekit antitunnel
- removed 3 genning
- removed proxycamping and facecamping
- etc.
Even survivor main must admit, that survivor is beyond ez to play atm.

You should not deflect form solving the problems that exist just because additional problems also exist.

survivors dont have to use anti tunnel or anti slug perks to counter these tactics. if you struggle to counter without them then yes its probably a good idea to use them but they are not needed. its about playstyle not about perks.

No killer brings slowdown to counter genrush. Cause genrush isnt a thing in 9 out of 10 games. Killer bring slowdown cause its the easiest way to win consistently.

if you go after the same survivor right after he got unhooked, of course you gonna get him again no matter what kind of counter perks you have. If you down the survivor that’s unhooking and go right after the unhooked of course you get both. This game is supposed to be fun for everyone. Running away for 5 minutes and watching yourself hanging for the rest of the game is not fun

That's the same as if you say that survivors bring exhaustion perks to make eventual distance in the favor of ongoing match. Kinda off isn't it?

Those perks do very little to counter proxy camping, tunneling and slugging because you never know when the killers going to do it. Why should we be bottlenecked into running unbreakable, conviction, decisive every match? This update can't come soon enough. Finally killers will have to use real skill to get their hooks and not cheap tactics. Btw gen speeds HAVE been slowed down already.

This Elan seems like a troll to me. He really thinks the anticamp did anything when you can just back up a bit and the survivor anticamp bar doesnt even fill. Anti tunnel? Since when have we got anti tunnel? While I do admit conviction is a good perk but boons? lol The only decent boon is exponential. Dramaturgy? That's a lousy perk. Wow 2 seconds of haste while risking being exposed. Great perk. lol

If you back up then you give enough distance for a save, plus if you waste time proxycamping then you give time to complete survivor objective. Boons give extra perks to whole team in wide area, the only bad boon is illumination, other boons are very powerfull. Wow, dramaturgy being more busted than old deadhard worth the expose risk.

Which makes sense as generators have preset spawns, you see bubbles once they are repaired and haste is stackable. Anything else to talk about?

Dear developers if slugging and tunneling gets a heavy nerf then with new pallet density and scarce deadzones should be tweaked.
Consider adding slowness fatigue if a survivor keeps pre dropping pallets and not doing their gen objective.
If thats a no then i will continue using my bubba build and hook basement and continue to tunnel without mercy.
Playing anything else is not fun

The antitunnel and antislug might come after killers get gigabuffs and survivors get giganerfs. I don't understand why healing still takes 16s with all the perks in the game, gen should take minimum 120s and base kick damage at least 10 %. Also regression rate might easily be buffed to 0.5ch/s so fully regressing a gen would take 240s which is enough time to stop the regression. I might as well see potential in repair fatiques, meaning that after repairing certain amount of gen survivor's repair speed automatically decreases or that each gen gives global -10 % repair and healing speed to all survivors.

This does not seem remotely true to me.
If 17/20 matches were 4ks, even if the other 3/20 were 0ks, the escape rate would be roughly 15%, when official data shows it leans more towards 40%.

Nono. OP may be right about his escape rate of 15%.
But there are survivors who escape more than him in their own trials. It then averages to 40% or however high the stats were.

And what is skillfull about holding M1 at gen? What punishment survivors have for rushing their objective? None. Killer can't rush their objective? Survivors can bodyblock, but killer can't slug? What is this nonsense? Do we remove everything frustrating for both sides or is it just anti-killer? Good survivors will last a while when tunneled, hide in locker when killer purposely slugging etc. etc. Do survivors lose collisions with each other to disable bodyblocking? Do survivors lose ability to repair for some time if they rush 2 gens in 1min? No, right? Survivor paradise is all you ask for, then go play customs with friends and ask killer to wait at exit gates and open them once all gens are done.

That would be an amazing turn of the events, i have nothing againts long chases as long as gens take time to complete, like people will hate me on the forums but its just not fun as a killer, so much pressure on m1 killers

Omg you are so right, who would have figured it takes skill to catch a survivor, if only i had a viable counter to phasing through the loops, pallets when they get pre-dropped on me, oh wait there is a killer and its a nurse!

You need to work on your mind gaming and winning chases. Tunneling and slugging is so unnecessary if you know how to use the killer you're playing. Every killer on the roster is strong in their own way. I've 4k many times as trapper and hes one of the worst killers in the game. Without tunneling or slugging. You do realise most pallets on maps are unsafe and easily mind gameable?

You just have so cheap arguments. Killers are limited by many things. Some can do way less effort as others to get similiar results, but some killers just cant win in scenarios where others can no matter what. So if you push the thought of "just play Nurse" then it's not the way. Every killer should have equal chance to win.

I just realized with this post that some people don’t understand what fun is and take this game waaaay too serious.
Playing against tunneling and slugging is simply no fun.
Just had match with a killer. right after I got unhooked I ran into him, and he went for the other survivor. Omg whaaaat? He played very fair the whole match. He killed us all but it was just fun playing against him cause it just didn’t feel pointless.
If a killer targets you and tunnels you, it is 90% sure you will not win the game, unless you have a really good team. Which is mostly not the case.

interesting that you say you need to work on mind gaming and winning chases but fail to see how that can be turned the other way…you need to work on your looping and playstyle to counter tunneling. if its good for 1 argument its good for the other but you ignore that every time.

If your argument is "its not fun" then prepare to have a massive chunk of stuff straight deleted from the game on both sides.
"Fun" is subjective. "Fun" is NOT any worthwhile criteria or justification for anything really because its inherently bias.
Lets say I dont find flashlights, medkits, toolboxes, endurance perks, second chance perks "fun" shall we start deleting or making "anti" systems for all these too? All these improve your chancing of winning like tunneling and slugging do for killers. Therefore they should be subject to the same criteria for balancing. See how nonsense "fun" is when you use it in an argument?
If you want to use nonsense subjective reasons for balancing then BOTH SIDES should get to do the same. Let the great gutting of everything begin!!!!

This is the equivalent of going 'BHVR please do something about doing Generators, i have gone 20-30 Matches and the Survivors are finishing Generators' Tunneling and Slugging arent problems, they are Solutions to the games problems.

pretty much what i been saying. doings gens pressing a button isnt fun, going in circles isnt fun, doing nothing on hook isnt fun, doing nothing when slugged isnt fun. when will people say "ok the game isnt fun for me" and just leave it there?

if slugging and tunneling is such a normal „playstyle“ why does no really good killer or example this big streamers do it? And if they do, they always act like they feel bad for it.
It’s because they know tunneling and slugging is the easy way and almost unfair to the survivors.
it’s like me as a survivor hiding the whole match, equipping the hatch offering and just go straight to the hatch. It’s a „Playstyle“.I feel like killers try so hard to prove their good at the game and kill all survivors no matter what and I see so many survivors just disconnect when they see they get tunneled or slugged cause it’s simply pointless and not fun. Give us a challenge and tunneling is not challenging. It’s simply boring. When you slug, the killer for sure has fun chasing the other survivors but for us as a survivor we just crawl on the floor and do nothing till you get all the other survivors and basically everyone dcs. Woooow never had that much fun

Tunneling and slugging need to be addressed in a serious way. BHVR needs to just rip off the bandaid and implement something and then iterate from there. Taking this "wait-and-see" approach by testing stuff on the PTB and then walking it back… it's only going to make the problem worse before it gets better.
Hell, they tried to implement an anti-slugging change… two years ago? And we've still been waiting. This need to happen.

uninstalled the game today. Just not having fun anymore. Feels like tunneling,slugging and camping has become the new standard

wise choice, if you dont enjoy it dont play it. leave the game to the people that do enjoy it.
