When the gang split up to search the amusement park, she followed the trail of glowing footprints deeper into the fog. But what she found wasn’t a man in a mask — it was something ancient, something hungry. Her glasses cracked as the world around her twisted into a nightmare of clues without logic, patterns without meaning.

Still, she refuses to panic. If there’s one thing Velma Dinkley believes, it’s that knowledge is power — even when the rules of the world no longer make sense.

Jinkies!

“I think I’ve figured something out!”

Your analytical mind pieces together the Killer’s behavior in real time.

  • While holding a Map or any item with tracking capabilities, complete the following objectives to activate Jinkies!:
    • Cleanse or Bless a Totem
    • Open or Scavenge a Chest
    • Complete 1 Generator
    • Remain within the Killer’s Terror Radius for 60 seconds without being chased
    • Unhook a Survivor safely
    • Heal another Survivor for one full health state
  • Once all objectives are completed and two or fewer Survivors remain, press the Active Ability Button while holding your map to spawn the Hatch at a location farthest from both you and the Killer.

After performing this action:

  • You become permanently Broken, and your aura is revealed to the Killer for the rest of the Trial.
  • The Hatch remains open permanently once used — it will not close when a Survivor escapes through it.
  • This ability can only be used once per Trial.

“I can’t see without my glasses!”

You’ve learned to adapt even when your vision — or your nerve — fails you.

  • While Blinded, Oblivious, or Hindered, gain 10% faster Repair, Healing, and Recovery speeds.
  • Recover from these effects 75% faster.
  • When you fully recover from any of these effects, reveal the Killer’s aura for 6 seconds.

“Jeepers! I really need to get these fixed…”

Deductive Reasoning

“Let’s put the pieces together.”

You can find hidden connections between Survivor activity and the Killer’s intent.

  • While crouched and within 1 meter of a completed generator, press the Active Ability Button to mark it as a Clue Zone.
  • Your aura is revealed to all Survivors, and you investigate the area for up to 20 seconds. After performing the interaction you gain a Token.
  • Each Token grants +20% Unhook speed, up to a maximum of 4 Tokens (80%).
  • Only one Clue Zone can be active at a time.

When at 4 Tokens:

  • Press the Active Ability Button near a hooked Survivor to instantly unhook them, consuming all Tokens.
  • That hook becomes a Marked Hook. The next time the Killer uses that hook, it will instantly break, and the Survivor will suffer Deep Wound instead of gaining a hook state.
  • Deductive Reasoning then deactivates for the rest of the Trial.

“If we stay calm and analyze the situation, we can totally outsmart them.”

    would fit the silly scooby doo style looping that happens every match. almost comedic at this point
