Thoughts on slugging in The Void?
I surprisingly and thankfully haven’t experienced this a lot in solo queue, but I had a match on Gideon Meat Plant where a Ghoul player would slug people in The Void if they caught them in there, which meant we had to keep going in to pick them up. For some reason the portals were really hard to locate, possibly due to the fact it’s a two story map and it felt like I was the only one actively trying to open more of them around the map so it was such a time waster having to keep going across the map to pick people up. I know the ‘counter’ to this play style is to stay out of The Void all together but that’s easier said than done when you’re playing with randoms and it’s also a main part of the event / linked with challenges.
Do you think this is a fair and viable strategy or should survivors be automatically ejected from The Void after being slugged for a certain amount of time?

You should be brought out of the void after 10 to 15s slugged in the void. I've been slugged in the void and there was nothing my team could do because of how the void mechanics work.
Although i don't think you should have a free run from the killer interacting with the void slugging in the void its just too strong right now, speciallly at endgame

Yall go in the void ?

There’s obviously scenarios where the killer will have to slug, such as if there are multiple survivors in The Void etc but it does feel like a huge oversight to make it that survivors have no way of exiting The Void if they’re permanently slugged in there. Some teammates won’t even pick you up from the ground in a normal match, but now we’re expecting them to locate a portal and then come to pick you up? 👀

Absolutely! I like to earn as much BP as I can and you get a lot more of it from opening portals and transferring void energy, plus I really like the void crystals lol. I also use the portals quite a lot during chases and I’ve managed to lose a lot of killers by doing so. Also, if you learn which portal leads to which part of the map it can make traversing around so much quicker when going for unhooks, repairs or opening exit gates.

Just dont go into the void

Gotta love a special event that disincentives interacting with its primary unique mechanic as much as possible

I’ll have to look online if there’s a way to learn telepathy so I can communicate with my random teammates and tell them to stop going into The Void injured when the killer keeps slugging in there. 🤣

Play with friends, don't play solo queue

I prefer to play games alone. Not everybody is big on socialising. There's a reason why my friend requests are turned off on PS5.

I sadly did that last night as trapper took about 6 games to do 15 void hooks, felt bad slugging to bait more in here but survivors at endgame chat understood the annoying challenge T_T

I suppose that's a bit different as you are intending to hook the survivors to do the challenge. The killers I've encountered doing it didn't ever actually hook anybody lol. I had a poor Meg who ended up bleeding out in there as the killer came out to chase me and nobody else went in to pick her up. I also don't think some people fully pay attention to the HUD and because they can't see the survivors aura on the floor, they don't realise the reason they can't see them is because they're in The Void.

Not in the first 30s of the match. I have to wait until it's a lost cause, first.

Annoying, but also kinda the survivor's fault for going in there in the first place

Classic Ghoul. And I thought my event matches were bad. The Void is already a death trap. You shouldn't be able to do this for a lengthy time. Hook denials are almost a zero chance in the Void.
I gave the killers their easy wins to do the Quests and that's it for me and that godforsaken Void.

I very rarely go in there, unless the killer is actively chasing someone (and sometimes they drop chase when they get notified)

If a killer is doing that then I'd avoid going in there. If your team mates keep going in despite the killer very clearly playing to slug in the void, then I would just stop picking them up and leave them to it. You can't fix a lack of common sense.
I do think next year the devs should look into fixing this, as people should want to go into the Void seeing as it's the whole point of the event. Anything that keeps them out needs looking into imo.

Not sure why this is an issue, it's harder to slug in the void as you can pick them up from any portal across the map and if he's camping in there it's free gens. Like if I was the killer trying to slug I would rather them be slugged outside, it's more advantageous.
