Welp, claimed the Drop on Twitch after they finally fixed the issue… And it isn't showing up in game.
Can we seriously just stop with Drops? This and the newsletter stuff always have issues, just give us a code to redeem in the store. Would save a lot of people a lot of headaches.

Absolutely, I am BEGGING them to make all the Twitch drop banners, charms, and badges available for everyone via codes or cheap store bundles. I genuinely have no reason to go on Twitch, I have no interest in watching streamers.

Yeah. And after watching and claiming, neither I nor my friend actually have the banners in DbD. So we opened up support tickets.
There's just no reason for this. If BHVR created an area in the in-game store to sell Twitch drop cosmetics for Iri Shards, it would benefit a lot of people. I've been doing the Twitch drops since DbD first started doing Twitch drops, and it's not fun or fulfilling. It doesn't make the cosmetics any better for it. Plus, this is the second time Twitch drops have gone wrong for me in as many weeks. The sole way of releasing things shouldn't be so prone to technical difficulties. Today's was super-time-limited, extreme FOMO, and it was broken for the entire stream, they had to give it out during the after-stream.

Same. I got up at 3am to get that banner and even though ive claimed it, I have nothing in game. Ive sent Support an email but I'm sure theyll just tell me it's Twitch's problem.

I just booted up Twitch to check out the live stream. I assumed they'd just leave it running on repeat all day so people with jobs wouldn't get shafted.
I'm absolutely appalled to see the live stream ended 8 hours ago.
When the banner gets turned into a redeemable code I'll be sure to update this thread.

Yeah no, the Drop campaign was only eligible for a three hour period today.
Not just that though, the first hour of the campaign was just the countdown to the stream starting. So it was intended to last for two hours, but then for the entire stream the Drop didn't even work. People were being really annoying about it in chat, but a lot of people were also pointing out they were streaming in the "Special Events" category instead of the Dead by Daylight category which the Drop was listed under. Mods said that definitely wasn't the problem.Then after the stream is over and the post-stream discussion show begins, they switch the category to Dead by Daylight and the Drop magically starts working. They reduced the time needed to watch to just five minutes, but overall the campaign was active for A SINGLE HOUR ON THIS ONE DAY.
And it's still not showing up in game. I usually don't even have this specific problem with Drops, but this banner was just that spectacularly mishandled.
I'll just say this one more time: STOP WITH THE TWITCH DROPS.

I don’t see the point in restricting these thibns to Twitch. I’m sure a ton of people are like me and just leave the stream running while you do something else so it’s not even getting your attention like I assume it’s meant to.

having a twitch drop with such a short timeframe is so sad to see, in my area this stream was at 5am and in the western part of my country it would of been 3am on a Friday morning.
Edit: wanted to show the timeframes twitch shows to show how absurd it is for some countries
