The Skull Merchant buffs are pointless and won't change why people hate her
All she is getting is a revert to some of her nerfs, making the beam faster pretty much just band-aids her having one less beam, she didn't use to have the fast vault immunity, and during that time she was still bad with it…
She shouldn't have a cooldown on placing a drone at all really, you could remove it and tie the undetectable to some other specific action, like recalling a drone or when a Survivor disables a drone, so now you wouldn't have to awkwardly change both the cooldown and the undetectable at the same time.
We were hyped for a rework just for it to get post-poned / scrapped again? These buffs won't do anything, she will still be bad, not fun to play against, not fun to play as because she is weak.
I don't get it, waiting a year just for this it's pathetic.

Buffs aren't enough and it's hard to think of how to buff her further without making her busted. Maybe add stealth drones back instead of having the full beams and AoE of the drone be visible just have a stubby bit of it visible so survivors that pay attention can at least see which direction the beam is facing.

I’m going to be honest I’ve played this killer since her release and not once did the community’s opinion change about her. I still get the occasional death threat for playing the killer I like. Hurts even more when you realize that there’s a very obvious solution to rework this killer that won’t cause the skull merchant population to collapse more than it already has but I’m not a game dev so who really knows.

Scrapping the rework makes sense for BHVR. They are in a no-win situation with SM. The mains will never be happy unless they bring back a problematic version of the Killer, and the rest of the players will never accept that version.

everyone loved the buddy drone. I think it was just the drone dashing that people had a problem with especially after the release Krasue, I don’t think anyone wants a killer that has five of them.

Regardless, we can see who is right. BHVR wouldnt have scrapped the rework if people liked the designs.

Then they need to communicate and proof with the rework they're doing that she is worth giving a second chance, as of now all the devs did for her was making her more miserable, they haven't even tried salvaging her really.

If you don't already find Skull Merchant fun to play as then these changes are not for you - that's the point. They decided that a rework is probably not worthwhile because it has the risk of disappointing current SM players whilst not guaranteed to appease people that don't already like her (a large majority) who can continue to not play her.
She's much more manageable to deal with as a survivor right now so throwing her players a bone is reasonable.0 -
Rework doesn't mean a complete change for her power, they could do a doctor like rework where they finetune her, making her power better, maybe a lil bit different, but still similar to what she has now, then give her something extra on top of her current power and be done with it, it would be fresh for both current skull merchant players and the new ones that a rework like this could bring (and for the survivor players too)
