Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

How exactly killers being able to see where every gen and hook are is not handholding?

I think it's honestly pretty obvious majority of killer players wouldn't last a day as killer if they weren't able to see where every generator is and had to go find them and the survivors working on it manually. Same for finding a hook while carrying a survivor and it's pretty funny how strong Boil Over it's at that. Again the same thing with being shown where gates are, where basement is, etc.

Killers are given so much free information while best survivors get is a loud notification where a gate might be and only after all gens are repaired. (that if you miss you'll have to search for manually).

Apparently Windows of Oportunity is "problematic" because "survivors just hold W towards the highlighted pallet/window" but it would be too much to ask of killers if they had to learn every single map like survivors do to know where all gens spawn, where gates spawn, etc. Imagine if killers had to actually search where hooks are before hooking a survivor and didn't' have hand holding mechanics just highlighting it for them.

Yh but you could use a neonsign spelling bait and many would still bite.

If someone says windows is problematic, you just shouldn't believe that they know how to play the game well at all.

It is, but not for killer, I hate the perk, because my teamates will just follow the yellow paint and waste 4 pallets and still go down in 30 s. If they didnt got windows they will still go down but at least we still have pallets, windows literally makes my soloq experience worse.

could be bait or uninformed survivor main.

Killers see gens because protecting them is part of their win condition of killing survivors. Same goes with hooks. If they couldn’t see them you just make macro play annoying for good killer players and impossible for bad ones.

Its the game's equivalent of a contact list. How many phone numbers do you bother to remember when you can just press a button to call them instantly? Its not necessarily that its too good, moreso that its too good to be forming bad habits. Many people use it to learn tiles or to scout through walls, but it also discourages you from needing to do said learning so many rely on it too heavily. Its basically the perk equivalent of yellow paint in game design.

I do tend to hate comments that just amount to 'this is handholding for survivors', because I agree with the OP that the things the killer gets are absolutely handholding.

Now, does this handholding lead to a better game? Absolutely. We should be discussing what leads to the best game, not some tag line to avoid argument.
