Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

  • Is it just me, or do you too, when completing Bloodweb Survivors, try to avoid all the junk the game offers? It's almost becoming a minigame: avoid all the brown "points multipliers", all the map offers (now almost useless), all the fog-altering bottles, all fog vials (and related add-ons), most of the iridescent add-ons (except for syringes, hemostatic agents, and brand new parts)... but in any case, syringes and hemostatic agents will soon be nerfed. For example, 50% of the flashlight add-ons are completely useless (and I don't see anyone using them). In short, there are literally dozens of truly useless things on the bloodweb. Could we ever hope for a quality of life improvement? The same problem exists also in the "killer side", but on the survivor side it is really exasperating

  • Edit: when there are special events, I start avoiding even some offers... if I already have 30 "halloween" point multipliers, they are already more than enough... there is no need to have 150🤣

My mini-game is forcing the entity to take as much of the bloodweb as possible.

I have turned it into a mini-game too.
If I come across a bloodweb full of junk I don't need, I just let the random picker decide, but if I see the stuff that I use (mostly med-kit add-ons, Bloody Party Streamers, and Scratched Mirrors for Myers), then I will get those nodes asap.
Using auto-purchase or bulk spending is just an overall waste of BP at this point, since you can't specify what it should prioritize.

Also, survivors could have used a shared inventory. I know this is harder to implement on the killer side, thanks to all the various add-ons, unique to each killer.

Been doing this for both roles since I joined the fog back in 2018

The bloodweb for my main gives me one add-on I want for every 5-10 bloodweb levels, so I sadly just get whatever I have to to get those items. The rest of it is all trash to me and exists only to take my BP away so it doesn't matter. I just use auto unlock to get to the next one.

I main merchant so my bloodweb experience can pretty much just be boiled down to avoiding everything that isn’t prototype rotor, vital targeting processor, and ultrasonic speaker.

I'm hoping they will not totally destroy syringes and styptics but who am I kidding. It's just going to be more useless junk that nobody will ever use again. Another thing to completely avoid in the bloodweb.

I've been doing this the entire time I've been playing.

Not really avoiding. I always took everything i wanted and then tried to spend the least amount of bloodpoints. I took dozens of brown stuff i will never use.

But then came bulkspending. Now i just pump 1 million in the new survivor, get the new perks on my mains and then back to bulkspending when i reach 5 million.

This is great until you realize that there are people with hundreds of thousands of add-ons that they'll never use, this will then give an impossibly large amount of bloodpoints and also then reduce variety of add-ons used as why not run meta when you can sell the rest and get more meta add-ons.

    I'm too lazy for that.

They could solve it by actually making the things in the bloodweb worth using, and cutting out the excess things.

I could easily cut out at least 11 items from the survivor bloodweb, and that is with me trying to preserve as much variety as possible.

Two ways to solve this problem:

    a) Make every perk, item and add-on use up a certain amount of "loadout cap" depending on its power, or

    b) Offer a way to trash unused bloodweb items into something new. Either one-time effects similar to offerings, or actual random offerings that can only be obtained that way. Or maybe unlock a skin for ONE match. Might actually push skin sales if a player gets used to a skin and runs out of items to buy it every match.

Oh yes! People are talking about this!

    This is actually important.

I would definitely start by reducing addons number! Make 5-7 addons for flashlight, med-kit and toolboxes.

Then get rid of map offerings, get rid of brown BP offerings and increase green and blue ones.

Make just 1 offering of each catergory - hook distance, chests, party luck etc. We don't use them - we don't need more than 1!

Honorable mention: make fog vial useable or get rid of it.

New? Been this way since the game released. It just keeps getting worse. You also forgot to talk about maps and keys that they ended up nerfing (especially keys), for whatever reason. There's now truly no good reason to care about any item that isn't medkit, toolbox or flashlight.
