Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Maybe there's some potential for this "QoL" pallet update

Don't know if this was already discussed before, but BHVR could balance killers a little bit by increasing or decreasing the number of pallets depending of the killer's tier.
Let's say that X map comes with 10 pallets by default and then if the killer is Trapper or Ghostface the game adds 3 or 5 more pallets, but if it's Blight or another high tier killer 10 or 12 extra pallets it is.

There are a lot of killers that if they got nerfed they would be more fair, but also feels like crap to play similar how playing as Chucky felt when he got his dash speed nerfed.
This way you could, for example, short the cooldown for Vecna's Mage Hand which would make play him feel better and more unique since you're also adding more pallets to him specifically.

AND of course this do not work with Nurse (what a shock, huh?).
To tone her down I think the only way is make her blind while charging blinks.

I see this suggestion a lot. But here is my question for you.

If the devs already can't seem to balance killers, how does them balancing it by changing pallets change how unbalanced the game is? What i mean by that is, why would you trust the devs to do this right if they already can't balance the game properly? All this does is add yet another variable that the devs need to account for in balancing decisions and makes their job harder.

On top of tha,t they'd probably do it based on their data, and if they did that, nurse probably would have 0 pallets on the map since she's often the worst killer in the game. Guess sadako will have tons of pallets since she's usually one of the best.

This suggestion is reasonable and makes sense and would healthy promote playing as weaker killer than S tiers, but as others said BHVR would most likely balance this feature around their data instead of community's tier list

Bck than they nerfed killers by their datas and it was wonderfull time seeing nurse unscratch and pig nerfed but now mybe they came to their sences and wont do it again.

I still think they will do some change as this that some maps will have more resources (pallets) on certain killers than other more mid killers and weaker ones because if they would want same for all killers they would have to chose which are ok in power level and than adjust other killers by nerfing the above and buffing the weaker ones but this wold take eternity with devs adjusting killers (its good they dont do so fast changes and wait for data for some moths so they are sure the changes arent overdone as they did overreacted before but still it took long time for them to change some killers or buff them like mayers, freddy so I fear it wouldnt be possible in two years gab they would need to stop releasing other chapters which isnt good for them both economicaly and by bringing new players or players that left so doing change like this would kill the game)

Personaly I dont see ghoul as s-tier ho got many changes that put him out of s-tier but now he is still strong (maybe making his autoaim smaller so player can use it more as catch up too with his cancel and it doesnt hit injured survivor because its so huge, taking deepwound and only applying it when he hits with leap injured survivor instead to healty ones and vault mabe give him more slowdown when he hits just power up and doesnt use it not meaning his cancel of leap while he is using it mid leap or after leap is longer but just taping his power when survivor is in pallet so its just easy mindgame or vault into hit but this needs to be treated more carefully because it can make his vault worse than weskers which isnt optimal for killer who isnt able to down survivors with his leap and if you nerf his vault hard than other changes arent needed tbh because he would be too weak).

Devs knda showed which killers are strongest from last ptb with antitunnel changes that didnt went live (they were overdone but have better idea than current patch 9.3.0 has the idea of punishing hardcore tunneling was there but the hooks or hoooking one guy twice wasnt optimal this should be bound more on remaining gens number or hard punishs killer hooking one guy 3 times in the row until some gen nuber like 2 gens left from gates, the killer rewards were to generous as all the effects to antitunnel and antislug but they have the reward thing in it compare to those that are in current ptb they arent worth it so tunneling is still betetr otption than rewards, Im not saying rewards have to be more beneficial than tunneling because having 3v1 is better than having basekit pop with barbecue and chilli plus haste but they shoul be more rewarding for the killer spreading hooks than its now in ptb) so I guees its matter of time when on the same map gostface will have to deal with 20+ pallets and blight with 30+ pallets which in current state of the game isnt that bad idea becuase gab between those two is tremendous and bigger than between soloq and swf in my opinion (same as comp swf vs casual soloq as comparison).

I don't have faith in them until they bring the S-tiers to Wesker's level, the fact we've nerfed perks so many times because Nurse exists or the like.

And they have tried doing this with the previous anti tunnel, giving the hyper mobility killers less rewards, so they are aware of them, just won't bring them in line. I don't care if people here agree with me, but everyone I know outside of the forums won't play this game anymore because of the S-tiers being so frequent and so many of them now.

I'm wondering if its just a matter of they don't have the time/resources to spare to balance them, so they just end up forever on the backburner.

not that pallets would help with the killers who are actually a problem rn, it just punishes the ones who have to respect pallets.
