Why is crossplay disabled on Switch?
We're on the same game version as everyone else is, 9.2.3, so why am I only being matched with other Switch players?

Because they have stated due to issues with Nintendo and how they push updates, they made a post about it, I know there was bugfix few days ago so may be delayed with getting switch back with everyone.

We got that update. We are on the same game version as the other platforms. We should be able to crossplay.

It's a known bug. They're aware of it and trying to fix it soon, but to be honest I enjoy my games a lot more on Switch when we're cut off from everyone else.
The technical gulf between Switch and the other platforms is too great to have good time when being matched with everyone else (though obviously it sucks for players that SWF with other platforms).

It's been about a week now. Still not fixed.

We're currently still awaiting Certification for a build that will enable crossplay again, I don't have an ETA I'm afraid, we're hopeful that it's before the weekend but we're not able to guarantee that.

There weren't any issues like this with previous updates, so it's very strange.
This is just a hypothesis, but if they're taking a long time, could it be because the Switch is no longer able to support them as updates are released ?
Maybe this why they think (=Nintendo) about giving the certification over a week.

I appreciate you taking the time to message to tell us about this but I do think it would have been better to put out a tweet so that switch users who dont use the forums consistently are aware. Otherwise they're gonna feel like they are being ignored and potentially quit. Again, thank you for clarifying but I dont think we should have to dig through the forums for this message. I wouldn't have even known about this if a Twitter user didnt screenshot this

I've definitely been playing less and less with this happening, I feel like aside from 1 Ada and 1 Felix I'm constantly paired with people that are either brand new or have no altruistic bones in their body. I know I'm not good in chase and lose a decent amount of games when crossplay is on but having almost 3k hours and being matched with this Meg that goes in and out of a locker 20 times in a row while the killer has Iron Maiden so they're just screaming over and over is insane.

Almost all my killer matches have been stomps, which isn't that fun. I swear I encountered a Claudette who did not know there was a run button.
Once again it feels like DbD is asking me to give up on it.

Do any devs have an update on how long the Switch version will receive delayed updates? Have any devs reached out to Nintendo to resolve the issue?
As a Switch player, the inconsistency of the ability to play with friends on crossplay these past two months have been extremely frustrating. I know for a fact that I am not the only Switch player who feels this frustration.
I know this issue isn't entirely BHVR's fault, but I think I speak for every Switch player when I say the lack of communication has been disappointing.

Unfortunately this will be for the foreseeable future, hence we put out the FAQ, it's not just one or two release cycles.
