Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

You don't need a SWF. Simply teammates that don't have 20 hours

In my experience so far since the mode returned last Thursday I've noticed the following:

1-Survs seems to have smartened up. Sometimes they are rushing gens so hard they don't even heal.
2-EVERY SINGLE LOBBY there's ALWAYS FOUR Escapists which is as braindead as Legion.
3-They have doubled the map size, number of players and resources, but in this mode you have to just do 6 1v4 gens to escape (yeah, I've never stopped to think about this before). 8x70 charge gens = 560 while 5x90 charge gens from 1v4 = 540.

I've switched strategies with my friend and it only improved our odds of winning by a little.
We already got the mindset that we'll not be able to win half our matches anymore until they fix all this crap.

The lack of new content for survs is the real issue here. You don't need to make killers experience so damn miserable so the lobbies are filled with crybaby survs that want to play in auto-pilot.

I straight up can't play Escapists anytime I get into a lobby we are already maxed out.

I'd be happy to increase gen times in 2v8 if it meant I didn't have to go up against ALL those 120 ping Weskers who seem to be constantly on the Dublin server.

A big problem I am facing in this mode are coordinated survivors and to be honest it is funny but busted as hell.

I told in another discussion about 2v8 that I played in a coordinated team and got nearly kicked out because I wanted to finish a gen early. The thing is the addaptive difficulty is abusable as hell and I hope to bring an eye on this.

If you don´t finish a gen and the Killers hook survivors the other gens get a speed boost and you only need to tap your gen once you get the penality.

I don´t want to talk about the medic nukes …

I saw this post of your in the other thread.
God damn it… that may be the reason some matches feels unwinnable.
Yesterday I had one that we were doing good and out of nowhere the last 3 gens got completed in a 2s spam time.

on paper this mode is a free escape if all survivor min max their time . On reality to often you have 4 survivors going for a single uncage , cleasing dull totems , opening all the chest in the map or hiding any second they hear a terror radius . This is what balances this mode out is how there is no mmr and aurvivors don't optimize their time .

Yes, but you also forgot one half of the game, optimal killers. Two killers on discord mops the floor and survivors can't do their objectives.

I’ve escaped most of my 2v8 matches. As long as teammates don’t screw around and waste their time, escapes have been pretty easy. Are you having a tough time escaping in 2v8?

tunneling in 2vs8 is a true massive problem

My only hope is that the gen speed modifier per cage and gen completed gets more impactful.

The main issue is that generator repair slows down as gens are completed. This leads to two extreme scenarios. Scenario 1: Players work on gens in groups of 3–4, which is highly inefficient and causes penalties on all remaining gens. Scenario 2: Everyone works on gens alone or in pairs, which is already the most efficient approach, and those gens do not receive penalties because, while individual progress is slower, there are no early completed gens.

Playing against an efficient group can be frustrating in 2v8, while playing against inefficient survivors is relatively easy to win. I have observed this myself as a killer: games in which everyone worked on gens solo, resulting in 4–6 gens popping at the same time while others were also progressing. This causes the repair penalty to activate too late in the game.

It does not even need a SWF to do this. Everyone just has to work on a gen alone or with a maximum of one other person, simple as that.

A simple solution would be to base the repair penalty on overall progress, rather than on completed gens. At the same time there should be a bigger repair bonus for dead survivors instead of for just hooks to counteract tunneling.

Can't do nothing about it because of the stupidity that is this comeback crap.

    Exactly.
You were downvoted by people wanting the easy wins this comeback crap gives.
