Let the killer hit powered gates to start them reverting like gens
Only before the gate is actually open, of course.

I like the idea. Why shouldn't they be able to damage a 99'd gate? I know killers would sure run remember me more often but I think it would be a nice feature. NOED and any other endgame perks would be better too.

No thanks, I don't want to be hostage by a singularity

shouldn’t be a perk

we'll just have people opening gates from now on even with the risk of blood warden with a gate kick, which I'm not against honestly.
Blood Warden matches are always the most dramatic and hillarious2 -
Honestly it really shouldn't be perk, because as it is currently it just sucks. They should just make the effect a manual thing and base-kit and give the perk a new effect.

recently had a match v freddy that ran full end game build. he got whooped all match but managed to get an injured survivor near the edge of the map. 2 other survivors tried to help the injured survivor for ages. i just opened the gates and escaped…. half way into egc freddy got the hook and the exits were locked for the remaining duration of the egc lol. all 3 remaining survivors died because they couldnt get out….i had the blame for that for opening the gate lol the abuse was off the charts

the opportunity to free up Haywire for a safety net Rancor in Singularity Endgame Hostage-taking builds is chilling to say the least. another buff he wont need, basically.

It would be likely less of a problem, from the survivors pov.
With Haywire, it works automatically, so he just needs to scare the survivor off, even by just aiming at them.
This would require him to actually teleport, hit the switch and then continue.
It could still end up a problem tho so...

I would like a slightly different thing.
A perk (I know you are talking basekit stuff but this would fit a perk better) that allows you to close back OPENED exit gates.
Meaning you can lock survivors inside of them, forcing them to leave, or prevent them from getting in, if you outrun them.

I wouldn't mind if that replaced opening gates imo. Though maybe update Blood Warden to change it to opening just so the perk works a bit better? I suppose that would make Bloodwarden plays very obvious so adjustments may be needed.
All I can think about with this addition is Dracula, Alucard's Shield addon, blood warden and just locking survivors in the 'oven'.

Muehehehe
Sounds delightfully evil.
