Internet Connection Issues

Occasionally my internet gets spotty during the nighttime, and I've been playing 2v8 with friends everyday since the event started. For the past few days, my internet would give out and would disconnect me from the game. Yesterday, I got a penalty for 5 minutes after I ended up disconnected during a match, and today I had one for 15 minutes, please see attached. I am wondering why I'm getting penalized when I'm not quitting or abandoning the match on purpose. I just have crap internet.

The Disconnect Penalty will activate whenever a disconnect happens - no matter the reason, the game is still being ruined for the other players. We highly encourage you to resolve your internet issues prior to playing online games.

    There is no way of knowing the reason of disconnection. So any disconnection is treated equally and penalized.
