2v8 Bug - Seeing steam profiles of disconnected killers

lamettaling Member Posts: 1

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:
- You are able to see the killer's profile when they disconnect in 2v8
- This works on Pc if their account is connected with steam
- You are able to click on the right hand side on the name banner and get to their profile
- Might happen in normal 1v4s too, haven't been able to check/confirm that tho

PLATFORM:
- Think it only works on pc, might on console too but I've only seen it on the pc
- Using steam and getting to their account when clicking

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
- loaded into a 2v8 match where a killer disconnected
- after escaping/being killed, hover over their own banner
- on the far right hand side, klick (LMB) to get that view of "view profile; send friend request; block"
- if it is an account connected to steam and you klick "view profile" you get to their account

VIDEO:
- idk if I had to censor the user name and everything, just thought it would be better so no one feels attacked

PLAYER LOGS:

  • Player logs are required from PC players only.
(No idea how to get that tbh, don't think it would make a difference anyways because it was in the scoreboard screen afterwards)

this works for any player that disconnects unless they're in anon mode if they're on the same platform as you. i'm assuming it would work for consoles as well

This only shouldn't be possible if the Killer is still in game. Otherwise, this is not a bug.
