I've been thinking of the abandon system more and how BHVR has gone kind of crazy with it. It'll be funny if the way they address tunneling is just something like 'if a survivor dies with 4 or less total hooks, all other survivors can abandon'. That's about the worst thing I think BHVR could do, so I'm starting to think it might happen.

Yeah, past experience has told me not to hold my breath on proposed changes lol I suspect we'll have a repeat of the testing we had a number of years ago. They'll try a number of different changes over the course of a week or so, and ask us which feels better. I could be wrong but that's my expectation.
