As good faith, I'll play M1 Killer until they make pallets normal.
Although I mainly play Killer, I don't think this pallet density is what we really want.
So personally I'm going to play strictly M1 Killers from now on, until they revert the pallets back to normal. But please don't make it like 9.2.0 again, it's really miserable.
PS: I don't tunnel/camp/slug/use meta perks, like always.
MMR is still messed up btw.

That's something I hope people get through their heads here. People in general don't want these changes, too many pallets or too little pallets both. Anyone who does is disingenuous.
I've seen the community, including content creators, ask for reasonable changes. Not scorched earth changes like they've been doing with the pallets. It's why I don't trust their talk with the PTB because as we can now see, this was NOT tested for and plenty on both sides would have had issues with these kinds of pallet changes.
That said, I'll play Sadako again at least.7 -
Had an easy time myself after the update.
No tunnel/camp/slug, 8-hooking before going for sacrifices/kills.Is this how the games are supposed to be as killer?

So you went for 8 hooks before Sacrifice someone? So you made 12 hooks. Your points show 24k while the Survivors which were not tunneld got 6.5k. So what did the survivor do all game long? If he stood afk and got 2 unhooks he must nearly had this amount of bloodpoints.
I think the survivors didn´t play that round at all or you are telling lies.

I was playing without slaughtering srike, basically getting no points in the deviousness category

So you are telling me, that you played a M1 Killer with lower Terror Radius. And the Survivors didn´t made a single chase? To be fair you could be right but it is really hard to belive that the Survivors were good. Like common if you didnt just land gen grab after gen grab there is no way, that the Lara got only 6.5k points while getting patched up and unhooked 3 times. You needed to land 6 hits on her, without a big chase.
Maybe you are that good. But this picture doesn´t really show me that the Survivors were any good.

To be fair, the Lara tried going for flashlight saves all the time. She was not on gens.
No need to be this skeptical, but try it out for yourself, playing with tuft of hair really hurts your BP gains.Yes, you do have a lower TR, assuming that you don't pop T3, which I popped quite a bit. T3 Myers has a default 32 meter radius.
Thing is, I play a lot of hit and run, where I give people who work on gens a bit of false security.0 -
So it was not a normal game of DBD and it was easy because the Survs made heavy mistakes.
Lara had btw a Medkit and no Flashlight. And if a survivor with an Item is searching items in chests at all there is nothing that could help them to be fair.

I'm tired, okay. I mixed them up a bit.
But yes, they were misplaying a bit, being overly altruistic, like going for unhooks while in chase.-1 -
To be honest... I don't call that "misplaying a bit"... my language for players who do this is not very charitable at all... 😅

I worded it in the kindest way I could

On one end its nice being able to play m1 killers again even against the stronger teams. So Id like this if killers were still mostly m1 designed. Maybe if they ever do map density based on killers this would be a good version. But yeah 9.2.0 was atrocious for killer. Now its reversed. Thus is the way bhvr uses the dial for some reason.

I don’t appreciate such behaviour at all, yet I’m afraid many players are doing like this.
The same behaviour as from people who were claiming previous pallet density were right choice, went pretty insignificant and didn’t bring benefits.
“Anyway they gonna slaughter this”
Now as soon as coin flipped to other side they gonna speak completely different even not realising double standard.
Just proves devs never should make updates in the way one side only find “fun”/“unfun”. Such people shouldn’t be listened in advance because the only thing such asking brings is flip flopping game being miserable for someone.

The loops are in a weird spot. Like how do you make them playable with the pallet up, but still playable with the pallet down? It's hard to do.
Like a lot of these loops right now look too unsafe with the pallet up, but seem fair once the pallets down. If you make them safer with the pallet up, now they're too strong with the pallet down.
Before all these pallet changes the majority were safer with the pallet up still, but that made most pallets just auto breaks once thrown, you weren't playing most of them with the pallet down because they were too safe, that's bad design too.
Is it just a lot of pallets, but they require being thrown to play mostly? I don't really know the solution here.
Also, while many of these loops seem too weak for high tier killers they seem fair for all the weaker m1 killers, which is most the roster. The previous pallet iterations were all unfair to m1's. Idk how we balance for both these groups. If anyone has ideas I'd love to hear them.

The most logical thing i think could be done outside of nerfs to top tiers is they need to base pallets on the killer you are playing, a blight the spawn logic will give you more loops and pallets to work with as a survivor
where as if you are versing a M1 killer the spawn logic on the pallets would be reduced compared to blights so they are not as swamped with pallets.
But with how updates have been going, I don't think it could do correctly and there would probably be odd picks about what killers get high and low spawn logic so don't have hope it could be done correctly0 -
doesn't make sense to me to hold yourself back from playing what you want, it's not against the rules or cheating to play blight if you wanna play blight, and not every map is gas heaven. your choice though.

Yeah unfortunately I don't think they would ever do this. I think the more realistic route would be to balance them around the weaker m1 killers and finally nerf all the outlier top tier killers that are too strong for the weaker pallets now. The top tier killers like Blight are inhibiting properly balancing everything for the rest of the roster.
