More story coming to DBD

More story coming to DBD within the next year. I wonder if this means cut scenes. Or some kind of single player/story mode. Or maybe any future events will give us more story. Comic book?! Who knows?
What do you guys think?

I remember during the Hollowed Blight event that they said they would be trying more of the cut scene thing with a new event, so its totally possible like you were thinking. There's also the fact that the game has been getting more interactive since Clown. First it was facial animations, then it was ancient language, and now we even have a survivor that talks. Doubt its a campaign, though I wouldn't be surprised if we got more interactive lobbies with Easter eggs thrown into dialogue.

also so did I read this correctly? They are working with lions gate on another project then asked them about ash? Maybe we will get a sinister chapter or better yet Twilight (/s). Sinister could be cool though

By next year another 10k players will leave because everyone gets bored of repair simulator and they will give us cut scenes instead of new game modes? Cool.

Of course they’ll focus on story- it’s something no one wants and they don’t see how it can backfire.

Sorry but I want the story. If I was here SIMPLY to play sweaty and try to win every game, I wouldnt enjoy it at all. It's not competetive. It shouldnt be. So why turn down any story or content they add?
Like i get that people want bugs fixed and whatnot, but to outright say nobody wants it or that we don't need it is absurd.

Yea they are working on another game with Lionsgate it seems, and that's how the Ash DLC came about. Could be anything, but I wouldn't expect some sort of DBD clone. They did that with Death Garden and that game didn't do too well.
Also the comment about story is just a one liner at the end of the article. The rest is about the Ash DLC and how it came about. I just posted it for us to speculate what kind of story elements we will see.

I honestly would love a greater in depth story to all off Dead by Daylight. It's a universe with so much potential for lore, and the Lore section is proof a lot of people want more story.
The story could come from the game itself or even a external site. I just want to feed my brain with Lore.

Hmmm.... maybe a YT mini-series of some kind? Animated in the style of like Hallowed Blight cut scenes and such. That would be really awesome IMO.

yall this thread is about story and you guys are making it about bugs and stuff, like obviously the devs know about bugs and what’s wrong with the game. Bugs can be hard to fix and fixing other stuff like reworking entire killers can be tedious and would need a lot of thought before just going in guns blazing ya know
but I’m really happy they are adding more to the actual lore and story of dbd. The lore is so complex and stuff I really love it and plus the recent stuff has only been telling us bout to characters and not really the entity because Benedict isn’t there to say stuff. I hope whatever comes out tells us what happened to him

Not very boring when I change up my perks every other game to try new things or change my killer and style of using them.
Gotta mix it up a little. Running all the meta crap is what gets boring because it removes most of the skill and thinking required.
