Tbf just take a look on youtube. I saw a video of someone reacting to the forum posts here and the comments are literally a cult of killer players. Survivor mains deserve this, they are brats, crybabies etc, meanwhile they were ripping their hairs out over ptb changes till a few days ago. Lmao

Again, if you look at the last line of my post, I said that the polls are not the sole arbiter of feedback.
They have a whole team of people who's entire job it is to sift through posts on Reddit, Twitter, Youtube, Discord, Steam AND the Forums. They did not decide this change based off this poll alone, in fact, this poll was probably only a small fraction of the feedback they got. I think that should be very clear to anyone who knows anything about how the community team works.
The reddit thread about Pallet Density got 1.3k comments alone:

I'd like to remind you that survivors also have echo chambers in other places. It's not a new concept, it's the annoying Us VS Them mentality that's been a problem for a long time because one side of mains think the game should work different than the other mains believe.
I can't blame BHVR for making bad decisions based on what people say at any given time, but I can blame them for going through with said changes without proper feedback, and the pallets should have been in the PTB for this very reason.-2 -

The same reason you brought up a subset of killer mains in a small niche, it's the same thing. Both are problematic, killer or survivor main echo chambers.

Does that mean the community at large is incapable of considering all perspectives for the sake of the health and longevity of the game? Because i wouldn't think so

i do yes. people are going to be biased to one side or the other even if they play both sides and the majority are survivor mains by design since the game is asymetrical so they're obviously going to be biased in favor of survivor

None of that really has anything to do with what I initially said though. The devs implement changes, and typically whichever side feels at a disadvantage will have a subset of players throwing blame at the other side. The only people accountable to said players are the devs.

my original statement was going to reference that the devs are survivor mains and if they do play killer they don't play them at a high lvl which would make them biased towards survivors (i should've included this even though i thought it was off topic) not to mention they look at raw data and have to take into account that survivors are the majority of the playerbase as well which affects their perception of balance even more since less survivors = less money because survivors on average buy more skins (again a tangent but i'm learning from my last post)

Wow that's a bad faith take. "This favours survivors" is nowhere requesting "delete pallets and make the ones that remain be about as safe as jaywalking in Mumbai"
