9.2.1 Patchnotes reduced his Footstep Audio, this also isnt TWD Chapter (9.1.0) but Krasue Chapter. (9.2.0)
It reduced his Base Skins, so Everything but his Legendary skins, which have different Footstep SFX.
But i think you are onto something cause the sounds are clearly more than just a reduction in audio, its muffled, less clear, very different from the old one, or like it was put through a silencer, or an entirely new sound.
Those old ones had some nice crunch, and i like that you could hear some mechanical hydraulic-like noises as well after every step, although he was so loud u could hear him 3 blocks away, they were so satisfying to listen to.
The new ones definitely sound bit muffled, i wonder if that's a bug, cause its definitely not just a quieter version of the old audio, cant hear the hydraulics or the crunch of every step at all, and its just creaky, the steps have much less impact and clarity, definitely feels a little less menacing.
Went from CLANK vrrr CLANK vrrr CLANK steps to like Thump creak Thump creak Thump steps from how it sounds.
Kind of intrigued, cause Audio problems do happen quite a lot.
I will also Add this is not just Killer POV, its the same Audio from Survivor POV now as well.
Im very curious if its intentional or not.Post edited by chknTM on1 -
Yeah I remember they said they fixed his footsteps but something in the coding made it sound completely different and not how it's supposed to and I asked about it on Twitter and one guy basically called me crazy. I definitely miss how he sounded when he was fully released to live and idk what happened. If you notice, Glitchtrap has Springtrap's audio partially so I wonder if they just stole it, gave it to Glitchtrap and replaced Springtrap's with what it is right now but something doesn't sound right to me. That's why I would like some clarification or if it's another bug created.
