Ranked mode Idea

I was Thinking on how to spice the game up and help separate the new players and pro players. Maybe have a Mode that brings something different into each match. Like every new match picks a random gamemode that is picked randomly before the match starts.

LIke it doesn't have to be much but it can bring more to the game while allowing players to play in there skill Level

This can also just replace the old classic 1v4 gameplay as well so it doesn't ruin Q times

Still a thought what do you guys think

What do you mean by random gamemode?

Like one match is Lights Out, then the next one is Chaos Shuffle?

Yep thats exactly what I mean. So your not sure what ur gonna get.

I like where your head's at.

That doesn't sound like a ranked mode though.

DBD is already a pretty random game, adding more variables to a potentially high stakes mode doesn't strike me as something people would enjoy.

Well when I was thinking of this. I was thinking people would love a Challenge mainly the Competitive Player base. A Mode like this would test ur Skills as a Killer and Survivor by pushing there limits to reach the Ranks.

And when The Devs speak Chaos Shuffle this was what I thought of

    Ah I see.

It's supposed to be a test of skill.

Because newer players aren't going to know what all the perks in Chaos Shuffle do.

And they're going to get completely lost in Lights Out.

Something high ranking players won't even consider an issue.

    That's a good idea actually 👍

I think many people have suggested to have a ranked mode but many really belive this would seperate the casuals from the tryhards.

I got some experience with ranked modes and I agree with you the first few weaks it will be amazing. Tryhard try to climb and the normal queue detoxes. But than the s***show will start.

Many "tryhards" will see that they aren´t that good at all and as soon as they get matched vs enemys which are on their Skill level or higher they will start to raid the normal queue to release stress.

I don´t know if it is human behaviour to try to show skill against the weak. But it will happen, it always does.

Thats why I think Keeping the Standard mode should still be there in case people who are not tryhards or doesn't like this kinda way of playing can play where there comfortable (like OverWatch 2)

The Players will settle where there gonna be and it might increase Q times but it might not.

But think about it. All The Killers who Tunnel, Camp And Slug to win will probably be in the Competitive mode so The Standard mode will probably have less of them making the Standard mode good for new players or the non-tryhards will be for thoughs who just like playing the game normally

I want to change my thought on this. Well if people are doing that then we Can make it just the ranked system to some form of Skill based match making that ur rank will be with others in that rank. So players that do, Tunnel, Slug, Camp, Gen Rush, Sabo Squads and other Play styles that are competitive/Sweaty will be placed with others that are that way.

Honestly this can be tested in a PTB and if its done right it can solve so many issues players have

    Sounds good doesn´t work either.

The problem in DbD is that the win conditions aren´t the same.

If I get a 4k with 4 hooks as Nurse then it is not as impressiv as getting a 2k at 10 hooks as trapper.

Now you can say well go for hooks than. But still a Trapper needs easier games than a nurse to get the same amount of hooks.

There are to many variables in this game.

What is Gen rush? If I finish the gens in 2.55? or in 3.02 minutes? what about 5.05? is this still rushing?

    You understand the problem?

BHVR has problems to track a Killrate just because someone dcs or not.

Do you really think they can make a good MMR system with X variables?
