Why was it gone in the first place?
Why would you take away the fog from the game only to reintroduce it without change a year later? The game's motto is "Into the Fog" so why?

Because it's visual pollution and should be made optional in graphic settings. Casual players who love smog on their screen can have it, competitive players can opt out.

if this pollution idea had any merit, then terror radii would be optional too because it's auditory pollution.(seriously, try playing Spirit with her awesome banger of a terror radius...)

The problem is if you have fog and someone else doesn;t# they have an advantage. And the game is already unbalanced so that would break more. I also don't see it as pollution, you aren't annoyed about the fog in silent hill, it's part of the game. So it is here
