Using Flashlights/-bangs should be conspicuous

Using a flashlight or flashbang/firecracker should count as conspicuous action. And therefore disable basekit bt, OTR, DS etc.

If the unhooked survivor feels safe enough to hang around close to the killer, they should not have access to OTR and DS.

Because… you can hang around the killer? You could have made distance instead. Hitting/downing a survivor that DECIDED to stick around for a safe is not tunneling.

I had survivors that got unhooked, stayed closeby, got hit into their basekit bt bc I saw them crouching behind the next rock, tried and failed the flashlightsafe anyway, got downed by me 15 seconds later and used DS when I picked them up.

That's not on me, and DS and other "anti-tunnel-perks" should not work in this situation.

If self-healing and sabotaging is a conspicuous action, so should be using a flashlight/flashbang/firecracker.

    Seems logical to me, a beam of light or an explosion is obviously conspicuous.

    Seconding the above- actually getting a save obviously should be a conspicuous actions, but other uses of those items can be defensive and tunnelled survivors should probably have access to them.

    Have thought the same since they came up with the term conspicuous action. What is more conspicuous than actively messing with the killer while they are chasing someone else?

    They are heroes with plot armor.

    As pervious comments have said still needs to be able to be used defensibly

    I've personally used a flashlight before to blind and then walk away with fixated to loose the killer trying to tunnel.

    I tried to come up with an idea that can differ these scenarios, but I can't think of something.

    It doesn't really matter with the basekit bt, bc you totally can just… not use your flashlight for 10 (now 15) seconds.

    But to be completely honest:
    I think having to chose between defensive flashlight and ds is pretty rare.
    In comparison, people "abusing" the safety of DS to hover for safes is pretty common.

    If someone can come up with an idea to separate this two usecases, I'd be happy to hear it!
