My personal opinion with this Forum
Hello everyone…
in the last time I am quiet unhappy with this forum.
Why do you ask? Because of the following:
- It is possible to post us vs them post with the single reason to farm ragebait.
- Mods abandoning this forum for weekends or vacations which gives troll like gore posters and such kind free hand
- People downvoting without going into a discussion at all and sometimes it feels like multi accounts downvote you on command.
- And lastly banning people like @UndeddJester for posting his opinion?
Please Mods… I know you have a busy life. But please do us a favor.
- If you are all away for a day please disable pictures, protect your community from violate stuff.
- Let more than one mod read about "ban worthy" posts to deny bias. (Yes there are mods which are Killer and Survivor sided but giving one the power to ban even valid opinion posts is wild)
- Maybe give a token system to up and downvotes. That you only can give an up or downvote if you posted something on the specific discussion.
If you want to ban me for my opinion it is okay.
But I really beg you to atleast take my words to your heart.

I don't know the threads but additionally to your us vs theme accusation you could write why you think that.
There are too less mods for double check every ban I guess. I think you can write to another mod if you really think that something wasn't against the rules.
You don't rly know why the person was banned. And even if it's sarcasm it can lead to a ban.
Disabling picture while the mods are absent is a rly good idea. + don't allow to post pics with new accounts aswell to make it more difficult?
It's sad that this is become a thing because this kiddy gore poster. On the other side it's a good sign that the trolls are getting upset because Behaviour banned them from the game, from the forum whatever.
It's also sad that so many posting under an offensive post against a private person? We should all calm down and those who got a ban just take it and reflect yourself. No one is holding your hand. Youre fully responsible what you write here.
It makes no sense to do a discussion about bans from third, while you can't say what happened.
The gore pics and the hate comments giving only a little view about with what kind of people the mods are confronted here commonly.
Thought for a while that this guy gave up posting but it looks like that he made this a life goal.
Tokens are a nice idea, too. From my view downvote buttons mostly killing discussion and are for people who can't explain their oppinions. Probably those who like easy answers in RL aswell.
I don't care being downvoted and the only one downvote I gave to the one person who wrote that downvotes are a good idea.

On the third point, downvoting is safer than speaking because speaking gets you warned/jailed/banned. I can now say that with experience. With how erratic the punishment system is here, many are afraid to speak, especially those on last strike.

It is a PvP game there will always be us vs them. It is in the human nature I am afraid.
But Discussions like "BHVR caters to X side" Without a single word about the posters reason to belive in that claim are only there to kick a tribalism post onward.
Ofcourse I don´t know what happend to @UndeddJester if he said something in PMs or something. I can´t know this but I have red many of his posts and it would not be in his character to go rampage.
I have seen many forums in my life span and it kinda worked that you need some time or aprove to post pictures and videos but it is not an universal fix.
The problem I see with my token system is that you can´t make it that easy because it would still give the possibility to just post a "NO" and then downvote which would flood the discussion.

This is true.
But I am kinda sick of it. You know I try to watch the whole picture and try to give improvements. But as soon as these improvements lean to one side i get a 4to1 ratio without a single answer why posts are good or bad.
So you could manipulate your total up and downvotes on this forum and someone who speaks his mind even if his points are total valid could be seen as bad because he got tons of downvotes.

This isn´t true. The mods kinda use the downvotes.
You know I get kinda heated if I am in a discussion and I tend to post a lot in such without drifting away from the topic.
Lastly I got downvoted a lot for my opinion why Killers should have the abandon button in some situations aswell. Suddenly my post didn´t go through with the side warning on the bottom left corner "Your post is under inspectation" or something like that.
So yeah if you get downvoted a lot you get a outtime.

In regards to the downvotes I do think the serve a purpose but they also do get abused.
I remember seeing you post on one of my posts and it just got a lot downvoted for no reason and I was thinking "why is this person getting downvoted so much"5 -
My opinion isn´t always right and that is okay for me.
But from time to time you could say downvotes get used to witchhunt.

In my case the downvotes was fully justified and had a use, np.
But I also have seen some posts where I thought ok some people don't like this but why? You can only guess.
Upvoting an oppinion is mostly better and gives more information.

The thing is and its maybe just my observation.
If I make 2 fresh accounts here.
With the first one I only post Buff Survivor I will most likely have a 4v1 liked ratio.
With the second on I only post Buff Killer I will most likely have my post under investigation through downvotes.

I never had this investigation thing and are mostly on the killer side, can't talk here.
Maybe downvoting should be only used by a certain post count to reduce this?

You don't rly know why the person was banned. And even if it's sarcasm it can lead to a ban.
I asked @UndeddJester and I can tell you, it really didn't deserve ban.

Another idea for the gore pics would be to make some save spaces in the forums where pictures not allowed to post. Then there is a place to post in the gore thread times. 😊

Good ideas unfortunately it will fall on deaf ears just like what happens with the game LOL. The forums perfectly represent the current state the of the game

No one owes you an explanation for anything. Im glad people have all day to sit here and post manifestos against each other- I do not. Nor do I have the mental energy to argue with people who think they know everything.
Posters are not infallible. A downvote is someone who doesn't share your opinion, that's all- full stop.

Priority number one right now is ensuring that any any images that violate the rules here have been removed - something that appears to be handled now. On that topic, I wanted to thank you again for showing care in looking out for folks here.

It took 18 hours for you guys to delete the gore, starting from first post. Yet the lengthy post of us expressing our outrage at the moderation team's decisions was deleted first. Is it more important to get rid of discontent or pictures of dead people?

Maybe then actually show care for these folks yourself and not ban them for the weirdest of reasons? People like UndeddJester have provided more constructive feedback here on the forums than most of us.
I think it speaks volumes that someone like them can get banned so quickly and for such reasoning.
Please look out for the people that actively help to improve this game. This is my feedback.

First of all thank you very much for removing the pictures. But I have to agree with the others it took very long and sparked fear into the forum because not everyone is mentally numbed enough like me to see such things and it should really be the highest priority to protect the wonderful people here. Please try that this can not happen again… If all Mods are gone, please disable pictures or put them atleast into spoilers.

I'll point to a comment Mandy posted this morning as I feel she perfectly encapsulates this. I get your frustration and want you to know that we are looking at the moderation escalation process.
Speaking to the disabling of pictures at certain times, this is one of the cases where we're limited in what we can do based on our Hosting service. BUT! That doesn't mean the feedback hasn't been heard. This is something we'll keep in mind, should there be alternative solutions!

There definitely needs to be more active mods, especially during the weekends, and the odd hours, where people from other regions may be available.

Point #1 with the “us vs them” rage bait is something that I would especially like to see addressed in the forum rules. These are always the threads that get the most toxic and out of hand, and it’s always the same people who basically do nothing other than post “BHVR hates (x side)” or make insulting generalizations about “killer mains” or “survivor mains” . The forum would be a far healthier place for discussion and disagreement if this type of thing was specifically discouraged or banned in the forum rules.

You need to have some extra help that can at least delete posts. There can't be these massive gaps in coverage where the house is on fire and no one even peeks in. I'm positive you can find regular members willing to do this.
