If you don't like Gore, wait for Moderators
An increasing amount of posts are being spammed with photos of corpses or worse. At least 4 that I know off. If you are sensitive to seeing real humans in this state, please wait until moderators return soon. I know there are a few posts warning people but it's quickly spreading past being just a "avoid these couple posts" issue and has become a matter of waiting it out.

Please be safe y'all.

Thank you for this. Unfortunately I saw 2 of them against my will, I appreciate the warnings so I don’t stumble on the other two.
Photos should really be approved before posting.

Are they gone now?

They really need to implement a system that prevents freshly made accounts from posting images. These always happen on the weekend when mods are least active and always by throwaway accounts just made.

Hey folks. Just wanted to step in here to let you know that the team is very much on the case!

Y'know. I get that work-life balance is important, but I'm actually surprised that they don't have anyone on the mod team that was hired specifically with the weekends as part of their standard days of work (and some weekdays off). The volunteer posts are probably to fill weekend gaps, which, I mean, that's when I'd assume there's higher forum traffic anyway. So no pay and higher workload…

Maybe, for the future, if you know that the forums are unmoderated for a period of time you guys really should limit the functions like some of us suggested - if technically possible. Not sure if all of it was the same person, but they for sure noticed that nothing happened over almost the span of an entire day and took advantage of it to post more.
Or at least a function that hides post that've gotten a certain amount of reports until they can be further reviewed.

Both of these are great suggestions. While I personally can't speak to what's feasible (or not) with the forum architecture, what I can promise is that I can raise these suggestions to my team.

That's something I've noticed as well. Usually the worst posts tends to get posted during late hours or weekends when all the mods are offline. There really needs to be some automation to restrict images at least when there's no active mod.

To be clear I am not interested in being a moderator myself, I used to be a moderator for adult websites and I consider myself retired now, but my suggestion is that maybe since mods are volunteers, maybe get someone like me (if I wasn't retired) that is a night owl and perpetually online. Were I interested in being a moderator ever again for anyone but a single Twitch streamer that no longer streams, I could totally take care of the forums on the weekends when the rest of you are taking a break (and no disrespect meant for your weekends off.)

this happens repeatedly and preventative measures have yet to be implemented
thanks for the heads up

Yeah if they're not going to have weekend/holiday moderators then they need to put restrictions on image/link posting and ideally account creation every weekend. Dunno how feasible any of that is but something needs to be done about the weekend chaos.

Yeah this person being able make two separate accounts to do this should not be able to happen. At the very least, if a new account gets a sudden batch of flags on their post, new account creation and photo posting should be locked until a mod can check in.
