Make BHVR see this, cause obviously they don't care.
Yesterday logged out after 3 blatant matches of cheaters. Today first match… you guessed it, blatant cheaters. These people obviously arent afraid of bans. Maybe time to get server sided checks? no? BHVR?

Yeah I had one last night. A fellow team mate who trapped myself and another team mate inside lockers. The killer couldn't get us out. Then held us all hostage in end game. The killer couldn't even abandon. We had to close our games.

Only one? Lucky you… EU servers are a swamp right now. The only uplift is that I'm not getting any hostage situations (probably jinxed myself now).

Today, I'm literally testing both cheaters and MMR at the same time on one of the lowest tier killers, Ghostface. I got a PWYF build that gets me to 130% speed. You would be surprised how many ppl go from subtle to blatant after they see me approach them THAT fast… their egos are so fragile, they rather risk the ban than just take a loss.
Many of them are even in a 4MAN SWF… like wth they even try to gaslight you "oh it was the expo boon" (shoutout to my last Russian 4man squad), while I'm not even pointing towards unbreakables specifically… They literally alrdy have their defense rdy in case of being called out. it's absolutely stupendous the rate of cheaters I get even on M1 ghostface.
@BHVR What are you doing… question mark? Edit: I so badly want to play this game at its max potential and even drop cash for it, but I just cant in this situation.

This is what happens when one side is made so ridiculously OP. The losing side just says, "well, might as well cheat cause the devs won't give us a fair chance to win". In other words, the killer mains brought this upon themselves. All the survivors they tunnel out and abuse cheese tactics against…well now you end up in high MMR facing the best of the best and cheaters. This is called karma. And for the record, no I don't cheat, but if a Blight/Ghoul/<insert name of broken sweaty cheese tactic abusing killer here> gets cheated against I really do not care at this point and will not be reporting them since killer mains are already using political lobbying to skew the balance in their favor.

But since you are so eager… If killer in general were OP at all, then why do I have 60+ escape rate as a solo… I wonder if I actually get many lobbies with cheaters in it to get to that stat… But I'm sure you'll just attempt to discredit by saying I spam abandon to get there.

Lol easy question. The stat tracker is broken because there's a bug that counts abandons as escapes meaning your stats are artificially inflated. Btw, cheating is related to balance, you can't separate the two.

As predicted, easy way out. Just assume everyone spams abandon every match lmao. "Nah way someone is better than me brah, just nah way!". The truth is even a 2016 veteran like me cant overperform on killer nearly as much as I do on survivor. The balance is pretty clear and it is no reason to start cheating. Not even if it were the other way around.
PS: The STEAM PROFILE I am tracking and have reported MULTIPLE times over the last year is STILL playing to this day. Gaining hours and achievements. This is not just a quarterly ban wave excuse, this dude that was reported with blatant video evidence is still playing and ruining matches. Steam profile alrdy has multiple bans on it, last one not even one year ago, how does BHVR want to explain that one? Are they just a customer like everyone else?
@BHVR if you are truly serious about cheaters, then message me privately so I can link you the necesary info, so we can get that steam profile banned. I have the video evidence saved on Youtube, I will never delete it as it is the only proof I have that BHVR does nothing against cheaters. I would actually appreciate some goodwill on that front…

We see BHVR struggle just to fix bugs. I don't think it's especially reasonable to expect them to also stay up to date with stonewalling hacks. Not saying that we shouldn't be in a position to expect that, it's that realistically they're in too deep to truly address it. All you can do is hope that EAC will catch everything, which years worth of experience show us that it won't.

If it were as simple as that, I wouldn't be complaing about it. I am actively monitoring a steam account that is still playing to this day, that I have reported multiple times since 300 days ago with blatant video evidence. Don't make up excuses for BHVR when they are obviously doing nothing to combat it, in any way. All my report would have taken is one mod to review that report and to ban that account. Sad fact is that it is more likely for me to get banned on this forum for calling out the problems.

Its a sunk cost fallacy for me I guess ;) I will keep hammering it until they do something, or until they ban me in an act of censorship. As a 2016 player I have an account worth so much cash, it rly saddens me to see DBD go to waste under these devs. I WANT the game to be better, it has so much potential, which makes it that much more frustrating to me.
PS: BUT I haven't spent a penny on DBD since the Chucky release. I was absolutely devastated after what they did to my lil guy :( He was the first one I truly grinded to P100… You never forget your first :(

they do not count abandons as escapes. they do not count abandons at all, no escape or death. if you abandon 9/10 matches and escape 1/10 it will say 100% escape rate but it will not say you escaped 10/10 matches. it will say you escaped 1/1 because the other 9 matches were void….didnt happen, not existent. This is a big difference. while it does inflate escape rate, it does not show in recent matches as an escape. so looking at previous 30 matches is actually a better indicator than looking at escape rate. And cheating is not related to balance at all, there are cheaters on both sides so it wouldnt make sense if it was a balance issue.

that's what I meant but didn't feel like explaining it. killers are always complaining that there are way more survivors cheating. I don't see as many killer cheaters unless they're using wall hacks. regardless, there is less incentive to cheat when playing easy mode cause you win most of the time.

there are 4 survivors per match compared 1 killer per match. statistically more likely that 1 of the 4 survivors will be cheating. think how many killers you get in 5 matches….5 killers. how many survivors in 5 matches? 20. odd are you will see more survivors cheating.

This is not a side versus side thing. It is just a cheaters are rampant thing.
The fact is, at least in my experience, when a killer cheats, its blatantly obvious and in most cases just a bot (or a vpn abuser). The steam profile I was speaking about is actually just that, a killer bot that apparently is allowed to keep on botting by BHVR. I will however use that case as blatant evidence that cheaters aren't getting banned. Not even "quarterly in banwaves" as they like to claim.
When a survivor cheats, it is often a little bit harder to tell, so they gaslight the hell out of the killer. It is mentally exhausting. When I get a few sus matches in a row I often equip a build to track down cheaters, just for that purpose. Like a full aura build to see them speed up around corners, when they think I can't see them etc… Most ppl have no idea how rampant cheating is and obviously so much more on survivor side, cause there are 4x more ppl on that end.
Edit: Runningguy was ahead of me making that point. Its just statistically more probable to see a survivor cheating.

Sometimes it amazes me that people try to justify cheaters and trying their hardest to make such discussions an us vs them…
Yes Killer is stronger in the low mid and high mid mmr but be real. If you think this PvP game is unfun you would rather deinstall the game or swap the roles instead of "BUYING" Cheats and try to get your account banned.

Well they didnt fix many bugs for years so expecting them solving cheaters when they dont even single thing about it in their palns for future just shows they play dead bug strategy and are glad people dont asking for it more as for antitunnel buffs.

Well people cheat in games that I would call "balanced" because every palyer has same options there (like scgo you can have same weapons or very simular ones but people will still cheat nontheless) so his point is kinda out of window as most of his ideas and this one remids me of that deffence the one cheater who is streaming and putting videos on YT uses like he claims "I played and I lost a lot and get bored so I buyed hacks" whitch is dumb but we can see some people with simular mindset buy that.

The balance issue is one thing but claiming "cheating is ok because of balance" is dumb thats like saying commiting crime is ok because justice is blind, very dumb opinion indeed the cheating is for noobs and its not acceptable.

Its especially sad given how easy some of these cheaters would be to find. Many have offerings from an anniversary before the character was released. The inventory of characters on every account is sitting in a database somewhere, a simple script could find these mismatches easy.

I ain't promoting cheating, I'm simply describing a cheater's psychology. I just said I don't care to report cheaters that give the OP killers abusing cheese tactics a hard time. People say cheating is "bad", but you have Blight players like Momoseventh will just dunk on survivors that stand no chance of winning all day long. how is that any better, really? just cause its "legit" its still exploiting terrible game balance without consideration for the opposition's experience, which is basically what cheaters do. it would be like Michael Jordan slam dunking against 4 basketball players in wheelchairs for a career…lol. like it doesn't really take much skill or intelligence to dominate with Blight. the cheaters just 1up Momoseventh by finding an even more clever solution than playing Blight with a busted build.

unfair game balance is an incentive for the losing side to cheat. people will still cheat if the game is fair, but they're gonna be more likely to do it if one side is blatantly overpowered by design.

We still saw high levels of cheating when Survivors were overpowered when I started playing. Even if you subscribe to the notion that Killer, as a whole, is overpowered, that clearly has nothing to do with cheating.
Giving away the game for free on Epic was, perhaps, the biggest mistake BHVR has made.

but people say cheating is worse than ever now. so we're seeing higher levels of cheating as killer role is made unreasonably powerful. cheaters have just found the most efficient way to win, by basically hacking the matrix. abusing cheese tactics with an S tier is just a bit less efficient than the cheater's strategy.

Blights power up is something you should ask devs about but tbh blight is even the fact he is s-tier very liked by survivors (many missed his hug tech which is hard to believe).
Balance is another thing than cheating and to abusing something majority plays with best stuff they can either because they just want to win or they want to have chance to fight because they know many opponest they will face will have the best perks and addons they can and wont go low and to your momos win streak yeah blight wins much but even he can loose against non cheaters plus he is like top 5% of skilled people playing this game, the 5% and even in other games these are pros (look at it like some scgo pro or something like that) and these players even without best things are strong as hell and win a lot so kinda not best exsample to speak of balance and dont determine the balance you mean if its the top player base the comp scene ok I get you mention momo but in average blight isnt that busted because not many have so good reflexes or flicks that are super fast and accurate thats it, still blight is strong killer I cant take you that.
Cheater psychology look I get loosers psychology, cant win with rules that everyone else must go throught (even everyone has same abilities when they play same character with same perks and addons,items) so they choose the easy way of money nothing to be chearing and spreading about just plebs that dont put effort into something to good at it so they buy it.

how is saying cheating is worse than ever now saying survivors are cheating due to op killers? if what you say is true we wouldnt have killer cheaters would we, why buy cheats when the role is already op? makes no sense at all. we have only recently had a spike in spirit players with no cooldown hacks and insta down chucky. we still have the usual insta hook nurse. By your logic, your saying these killers buying hacks due to OP survivors when they have S tier cheese tactics they could use instead? Its more accurate to say low skill players would opt for cheats as these players are on both sides.

people cheat for many reasons, winning is just one of them. for some people, 80 percent isn't enough…they need 100 percent win rate, cheating is the easiest way to do that.

exactly, people cheat for many reasons so you associating it with killers being op as a reason why people cheat doesnt make sense and there is no basis for that assumption as there is evidence to say killers and survivors cheat for various reasons. The exact same argument could be made in reverse, killers that are struggling to keep up with gens and op SWF swat teams turn to cheats due to survivors being op. Maybe survivors getting 50, 60 or even 70% escape rate isnt enough and they want 100%? To attaching cheating to game balance genuinely makes no sense at all because like you said people will cheat for many reason.
Unless…..your saying its the reason why YOU cheat, then you may have a basis for your assumption that others cheat for the same reason as you.

You opinion… a low skill killer might disagree. thats my point. a new player with 3 hours of gameplay being matched with survivors with 500 hours? thats not going to go well for the killer, maybe they then decide F this survivors are op…. you cant use that argument for one side and dismiss it when its used for the other side.

I had one yesterday who was trying to be subtle but I've played long enough to pick them. I ended up just ignoring them and focusing on the other three. Not gonna give them my time.

that's gonna happen way less often since there will be a far higher percentage of matches where the killer stomps the survivors.

Had a Tiffany who knew where everyone was at all times but did not have a single aura reader. The only thing I could have figured to make sense was a special headset for specific audio enhancers but it was too uncanny.

not for me, im winning most of my survivor matches. which says to me its skill issue and thats on both sides. so all the matches im winning could be justification for the killer to cheat according to you

I honestly think there are more cheaters on the killer side than people think, I don't actually think there are a lot on either side for the record. The do for sure exist and obviously matches against them will stick out, so they may appear more common in your memory. As with anything in this game you can get a bad night and get multiple which really sucks.
A subtle cheating killer would be much harder to pick up on than a subtle survivor. 1% faster would help at a lot of loops and over the course of a whole match while being virtually undetectable. Cheated aura reads would be virtually undetectable, were they cheating or did they just get lucky. The unsubtle cheating ones are just so obvious they really stick out.

At upwards of 7000 hours, I have seen confirmed cheaters in about 10 games. Some funny looking things in a couple dozen.

omg yes like wth I had so many of these yesterday… I'm always super nervous alrdy in the loading screen, when I see the 4man squad make anniversary offerings like 105 106 107 108 And me dropping the 109%… I always feel like they can see what my build is and they react to it in such a way. And as it turns out during the match, so many sus stuff happens, untill I actually overpower them and then they go blatant.
