Are you playing mainly survivor? In NA? If so, than it's understandable, cheating in NA is less widely spread due to the local ethics, and most cheaters play survivor, so if they are trying to be "subtle", only the killer will notice it. You might have noticed the killer accusing one of your teammates of speedhacking or something in the end-game chat, you probably brushed that off and said something like "skill issue", defending your teammate, but "subtle" speedhackers are actually quite widespread, you will definitely notice them a lot if you play Nurse.

You are talking to someone who is either trolling, or is generally not that good at the game keeping him below top MMR, away from most cheaters. But I do guess it is possible that one region sees less cheaters over another… yet 10 cheaters over 7000 hours is a poor jest for sure. I see more than that in just 1 week (I play many hours per day, but still). It is also possible that his game knowledge is not up to par, brushing of cheaters like he got outplayed. These are the most likely scenarios.

Damn, I didn't even think about the penalty. Really sucks.
I don't actually know for sure that a cheated client works this way for the record. Might just let you pick whatever regardless of inventory. Still using one in a match should be findable or an error coming up somewhere if they don't really have it in their inventory.
The thought came from a twins match where they had year 3. If I read release dates right earliest they could have is 5. Were going for subtle via pwyf.

A looooot of cheaters and a lot of them that are advertising their cheats in their name, which ofc is only visible post match when I'm playing Surv and they are Killer. Just DC'd from a match two seconds ago from a cheating hillbilly, with his cheats and cheating discord server advertised as his name and because the DC penalty is so abysmal, I got a 5 min lockout, even though I haven't DC'd in the past two months so now I gotta, what? Play 40 matches to get that to go away? Amazing :)
Really great party game BHVR, props to all those involved in development, totally can't believe every other game you guys have made has flopped, really shocked.

DbD is not a party game and is no longer advertised as such. Party games don't have DC penalties and MMR. DbD is a wanna-be e-sports game at this point, but e-sports games have good server validation, anti-cheat and extensive demo-recording capabilities. So it's just the worst of both worlds.

Low mmr. I don't tunnel, nor play with a mic. Just play in reality. NA as well. Both survivor and killer, pretty much equal.

Just take killer addons and perks that allow you to see as many auras during chase as possible (like all ears & zanshin etc). Play +100 matches like that, you'll soon realize how many subtle cheaters are in your lobbies. That is the only way to break the reality of players such as yourself ;)
That said tho, most Asian-Russian-Arab cheaters play on EU, so there will be a big disparity for sure between our experiences. But I'm just making this point cause you probably don't realize how many subtle cheaters you miss if you don't test it for yourself. Going full aura builds long term really opened my own eyes to the amount of rampant cheating going on on our server. Speedhackers being the most common, but also people with ESP who just mirror your every move perfectly when they can't see you behind high walls (much like a bot). And after 5k hours myself I can now easily tell cheaters apart from legit players without such builds, as I know what a legit player is supposed to be able to reach in certain situations (even at max wallhugging).
Honestly BHVR should add post match replays to DBD… That will also help people realize they are either just bad or open their eyes to the actual rampant cheating. Imagine how much less gaslit and sane killers would be with such a feature. Untill they do, we have to test it for ourselfs.

Update: Another sunday in DBD… seems like all the unemployed cheaters are more prevelant on this day… oh boy… so far 3 in a row again. This is not just bad for the opponents but also the solo teammates that die. Cause cheaters literally don't care about anyone else, only themselfs.
WHAT is the point? Like I am testing them on SHORT filler loops with bloodlust 3 active and I literally cant catch up to them… WHAT IS THE POINT of this type of cheating????
UPDATE2: Make that 4 in a row… new record I guess. Am I being stalked by cheaters? Are they targeting me on my ID or IP? BHVR tell me why I should drop cash for DBD at this point? when you consider cheaters as valid customers… why?
UPDATE 3: 5 in a row… anyone do better than 5 in a row? people are literally instantly healing without styptics even being a thing anymore. its like they didnt get the memo … cheaters = low iq
UPDATE 4: 6 in a row… I guess people rly do think cheating is ok after that jedi dude kept promoting it… gees. And I rly am talking about blatant hackers as in bloodlust 3 cant catch up kinda of speedhacking. but BL is outdated feature right? ;)

Guess ill take another year break… I just hope the game isnt dead by the time I chose to play again. BHVR, the ball is in your court.

6 in a row really sounds weird. I've encountered them once every 5 games, usually one "subtle" per team. What is your region? Also, do you record the games? You could upload videos of them for people who don't believe.

Im telling you EU is a swamp right now, germany specifically (or I am being stalked on ID or IP). Pretty sure I dont get dublin server on the mainland. The last one was a 4man squad and they even admitted it… like they dont even care anymore, blatant teleporting in my face… 3 of them on steam account. And they actually made my pc crash as I made the report (my pc literally never crashes in any game, not even spaghetti code dbd). They have the ability to do that… I rly have to stop calling them out and just report and move on. f'ing hell :( the state of BDD is absolutely ruined right now.
PS; pretty sure it was a random Discord 4man squad, since they all had different nations on their steam profile. But at least one of them was blatantly cheating. And the reaction of the survivors? just pure gaslighting. My dude, I had someone cornered on meatplant, if he went left or right, I would have seen it, I literally camped the corner in endgame and they were just gone.
And the stupid part of ALL OF THIS is that I still get aprox 65% killrate due to all the ppl in normal matches that instantly DC or AFK… killrates are so massively inflated by this.
Edit: and just to give you an idea of what kind of ppl these are. Their steam profile literally has a favorite guide link to "how to uninstall DBD". Blatant cheater trolls.
If I were rich, I would have just tested the stalking by buying another account. But im not rich, so I dont want to give BHVR money when they dont deserve it.
Edit2: and oh yeh, recording has ZERO impact. As I said before I have blatant video evidence on some steam account, which I am monitoring, and they dont get banned after my multiple reports so… so I stopped recording entirely.
UPDATE: one of those ppl send me their recording. So now I know who was cheating and they used the invisible cheat… EVERY FRIGGIN MATCH HAS A CHEATER THESE DAYS!!!!

The cheating is seriously bad. Survivor main. Was playing killer and the hook sabo instant is bad.

Yup, I have only been back a few days for the event quests. Last 2 days thought I'd try normal mode again and its just one after the other teleporting/going underground in my face. I'm taking a break again, if BHVR can't fix this, it might be a perma break. Imagine them releasing a popular franchise chapter soon'ish within this mess… I hope ppl are smarter and keep their money.

cheaters now can hold people hostage in a new way by carrying someone on their shoulders while playing survivors (hard to explain, but that's the easiest way without a vid). If you want to see a good video of this happening, see Epidemy video on this.

Luckily I haven't ran into any playing on NA servers but from some of the YouTube videos I've watched it seems like something happened to the AntiCheat which made it significantly easier to cheat in the game. Hope this will be one of the things addressed with the PTB tomorrow or a following patch. I've started having OBS ready to record my game just incase I get into a match with a cheater.

Yeh I know, but at least they spare me from being held hostage. The one plus side to this rampant cheating. Just had a Steve that literally used Dramaturge every time I got close to him. Multiple times in 1 chase. He had the perk, but since he did it multiple times during 1 chase it was blatantly obvious he was cheating… so sad. They just take the perk in an attempt to cover up their cheating, its ridiculously hilarious how stupid these ppl are tbh.

ps: I play some more today, cause I figure I want to make somewhat of a difference to the stats BHVR sees… even tho I am only about 0.000001% of those :D lmao
Anyways, So I'm playing pig, notice some sus stuff. So I just crouch hidden near a half finished gen (high walls between me and gen)… I hear someones breathing and steps approach, hear them touch the regressing gen, so I start my ambush and … oh wait… nobody is there…no scratch marks or anything… But somehow the gen stopped regressing. Almost af if… they knew I was there and are just trolling… hmm.
WTH is the point of this type of cheating? YOU ARE SO BLATANT… I see you are ATTEMPTING to be subtle but… I just go afk after a confirmation like that. I am deliberately lowering my MMR by just 2 hooking everyone, and I still get non stop teleporters and speed hackers… pfff exhausting guys. Not even angry at the cheaters at this point, BHVR literally allows it.

how do I report a cheater? Had a blatant one shot killer kill my solo que team. Worst of all after one shotting us and having us die on hook I got a down grade message for intentionally dying.

The only way to fix the current swamp is for BHVR to code in server sided checks. It is absolutely baffling how people are just allowed to fly/teleport/underground without the server saying "hmmm that might be weird, maybe I should ban this person"… BHVR is allowing it cause they treat these cheaters as customers, there is no other plausible reason to not have server side checks at this point.

Update to another day of rampant DBD cheating. Just playing pig, not to win, actually specifically to get 0k to lower MMR (for my next experiment). I still get ppl that somehow perfectly mirror me while Im crouched, behind the big haddonfield buildings… Good heartbeat readers, right? Yeh that must be it ;) People have no idea the amount of subtle cheaters. It was a 4man squad too. Now, Im not accusing ALL of them. But it is just another blatant cheater in a 4man squad, that possibly does this to communicate info to their team. Their teammates might not know about their cheating, but it is friggin happening… it is ruining DBD.
