Why are the characters being scaled down/up in-game?
I get it’s probably because of animations, but it would be nice to finally have a short male character and a tall female character (other than Aestri). Dustin looks weird while playing as him in the game since he isn’t supposed to be that tall and same as robin, where she looks out of place being scaled down.

For gameplay purposes and difficult for devs. This would mean making a different hitbox and perhaps different animations for each survivor. It would also probably involve changing some survivor models to match their new height without looking bizarre.

Unless it was an optical illusion, I thought Dustin looked scaled correctly in the lobby so I was looking forward to seeing him but he looks elongated in the game. It might be more complicated for things like footsteps. I'm hoping that since the lobby hinted they would be different sizes means that they are planning on bringing this into the live game. Then maybe Aestri can look more elf-like too.

Survivor models always share the same sex-bound height. They're not suddenly going to break this rule for Dustin.

Yeah Dustin isn't the right height in game, he looks really goofy because of it.
Maybe this is a sign we need more animation sets for ingame with an animation update.2 -
Generally a hitbox issue.
Since everyone need to be the same size in order for the map and powers to all work properly.
If you for example make it child or giant size, it wouldnt work well for some spaces.

Chucky has entered the chat.
But yeah, for real. Chucky is smaller and so has a different hit box when you blind him at a pallet.1 -
The post mentions survivors, not killer.
Killers get special treatment,
Survivors are meant to be a punching bag.

I mean, you said it, I didn't.
To be fair, now that i am about to become a Robin main I might need to start thinking more like a Survivor main than a Killer Main (P100 Pig)0 -
I thought the "hit box" was the same in all killers it's just some have a different reference point as to where you should be looking when aiming.

That could be, I am not really sure. It is true I guess that you don't really "HIT" killers like you do survivors. You aim at Chucky's eyes, that's not the same as if a survivor was Chucky's size, would you throw a Huntress Hatchet over their head and still hit them?
