it would be interesting to see Frank Welker come into the studio and voice Megatron. Charged pulse cannon, maniacal laughter, red eyes, could even have him transform, if it’s not too goofy. Lots to work with when working with a transformer! Sam Witwicky as the survivor would be cool, too. Just a thought! Lots of cosmetic possibilities too. His War for Cybertron look is pretty menacing.

    Am I crazy for thinking DbD's IP collaborations should be done thoughtfully, not only with the right IPs and adapting the right parts of those IPs?

    I know the game has loosened up a lot more in what it considers viable for DbD, but there should still be some standards. Rather than just grabbing the main villain from whatever IP, there should be real thought into how they'll fit into the Fog.

    …Which is exactly why we need Shockwave instead! THAT guy could get The Entity's attention. Megatron can go be a legendary skin, like the loser he is.

    …To be serious, BHVR apparently did experiment with a giant Killer in really early development, but even back then, before there were 9+ years of spaghetti code layered atop the game, the idea was thrown out for being too hard to execute. And shrinking down a Transformer to the max sizes current DbD's maps are built around would be extremely cursed.

    After Chucky actually happened, I want to keep an open mind to more out-there gameplay ideas, like giant Killers, or Killers that have vehicles/vehicular properties (The devs say they want Christine someday), or Killers that introduce more verticality to the game or etc, but such ideas would need a "DbD 2.0" update that acts as a full remake of the game's code first. The game needs one anyway, hopefully we get it sometime in the next ~5 years

    I also do think, even considering a dream execution that can make Transformers feel like it fits, it would be an uphill battle for me to buy into it as a DbD DLC concept personally

    you are spot on with the shockwave take. I agree with that 100%. And yeah a sort of shrunk transformer would be cursed they would have e to fix the code surrounding that like you said.
