I predict some killers will get frustrated playing the new Vecna (and seldom play him)
To me, the new Vecna is lot like Pinhead or Pyramidhead. They are strong killers when played at a higher skill level. (And in Vecnas case, an understanding of survivor movement and map layout.) It's extremely difficult to learn their power in customs because bots are extremely good at dodging their attacks. So you end up missing tons of shots in public matches and survivors getting smug and cocky and gens flying, which is extremely humbling and unfun. I can only imagine a higher mmr killer going against extremely good survivors, getting completely demolished because they keep missing every one of Vecnas vine attacks.
And that's kind of where I am on the new Vecna. Yes, streamers with lots of hours are zipping through shots and nailing people in every chase, but the average player IS going to struggle to use his kit more effectively. His powers are not as easily accessible as someone like ghoul. I predict it might be one of those situations where survivors in higher mmr want him nerfed, but over time you won't see a ton of killers playing him because of the higher skill ceiling.
I don't believe he needs a nerf. There is an argument to be made that an extremely good player will make vine attacks that are next to impossible to dodge without something like sprintburst, but I don't think that's going to be common enough to warrant a nerf.

I predicf he will be significantly less popular on console, may be one of the least controller friendly killers but we will see in practice for sure. It’s still a very hyped up killer.

Hitting his ability is easier than landing Nurse hits against dodging survivors. He also has better map traversal than Nurse. If Nurse is OP in your opinion, then this is double OP. If the player knows how to click on survivors, every game for them will be just a shooting range with a beer can in one hand

so i guess we just forget that henry has to hit you twice with his ability (or once with undergate) both of wich are very much telegraphed and counterable. meanwhile nurse gets to TELEPORT to you. has a second blink to fix her mistake and is lethal from the get go?

Judging his power works like pinheads in terms of hitting or setting up he will be hard on console but I think he will be easier than phead or pinhead for sure due to pinhead having very small hitbox with huge room for survivor to doge and his chains need lot of thinking due to them breaking fast and pyramidhead has harder projectile to hit with no mobility and he has worse turn rate while using his m2 which new vecna doesnt.
The curent baits he is s_tier are quite overreacting I think somewhere in a-tier and highly depends if he will get nerfs which i guess he will get some what will they do to him but at worst i see him as above average killer (b-tier to high b-tier) which is good place.

Thing is he has to hit you more times sometimes and doesnt damage you directly on first hit unless you have some of those points on you filled up i think its 2 or clocks are up so he can damage anyone and his mobility isnt that strong because if survivor helds W he cant hit you and in shorter catch ups he looses more distance or gains almost none with his mobility so nurse still rules over him.
I respect your opinion but he would be better only on paper (like uknown if he would hit every shot) but in practise he will be worse just like pyramidhead seems to be better than blight in theory (he can hit you through walls) but in reality the opposite is truth, blight is stronger than ability which can hit you through walls.

For me he feels more like nemisis where youd shoot when you know you can hit, and once you are used to how it hits, itl feel very strong and get easier to control with time. I currently just cant hit anybody with the underground attack lol its like you have to bait them into running into corners or walls, anywhere they dont have a straight line to go.

Sprint burst will become meta during first week of general release as streamers have shown how easy it makes it to dodge his upside-down attack.
It takes too long to perform and freezes killer in place giving an easy blind with a flashlight.
If anything that could do with a buff whilst putting a small cool down on vines to counter the buff.
Time will tell but like pinhead and Xeno I really fear he'll suck on console.

I have feeling you have never played Nurse and probably neither The First , if you think she has it harder and worse map traversal…
Correction blink is a thing and even her "missed" power gets her closer to survivor, unless she overblinks like crazy.
The First is hold W simulator and there is not much he can do about it.He also has limited timeframe to even deal damage with his power.
It's funny how anyone can be so out of touch to think he is anywhere near power level of Nurse.9 -
He is the most balanced killer they ever will release, if his power stays as it currently is on PTB. I say this because BOTH sides requires some good reading skills in order to hit or dodge. Vecna will indeed have a high skill ceiling to the 'average' killer.

Since Nurse is one of my mains, your ad hominem doesn't work here. Nurse is usually dodged around corners and small objects with weird collisions, to trigger her auto-aim to hit the wall or to make her blink not pass through the rubble, which is not a thing for the Nurse 2. She takes up to 3 long charged blinks with fatigue to go to the opposite side of the map, which is very long, while Nurse 2's traversal is literally the best in the whole game, it's like chainsaw sprint without steering around objects, with a guaranteed hit on a survivor at the end.

I think he will be fine because he has mobility. Pyramid Head especially feels like garbage because Hold W. Pinhead has other problems but lack of mobility means he is not very forgiving.

I see what you mean. I actually thought he would be insanely strong, but that's only in theorie, he is actually pretty dodgable with a good reactiontime and unpredicable move. That being said he is insanely fun I feel like, even if I miss a lot.
Also bot are actually pretty bad at dodging him xD

I feel like he's gonna be painful to play against, at least if the killer is very well with him

Doesn't mean you are good Nurse player…
He has mobility basically only outside of chase with high cooldown. If survivors gain distance with exhaustion perks, or you simply misplay few attacks, The First is in trouble.
Nurse can get that distance back quickly.0 -
When he can Fire a Vine attack every 2 with very little cooldown seconds those non lethal hits you need ain't an issue.
If we're gonna keep Vecna how he is then I want significant power cooldown reduction on Pyramid head and Especially Unknown

Only thing he has simular to nurse is how he aims with his power just like pinhead but in reality he is more close to pyramidhead where he (the fist) is easier to get hits but he doesnt do damage right away (only if survivor has 2 satcks of his effect or clocks are active) and I believe holding W will work very well against him just like it does against pyramidhead because his mobility isnt that great as catch up and only hits when survivor is zones or missplays but if he holds W in open he wont get hit and makes solid distance.
For vecnas power having now small cooldown i belive it will get nerfed a little, i monly hoping he wont end up like harmless.
