Why Can Unchanged/Not New Killers Be Played In The PTB? Doesn't This Defeat The Purpose Of Testing?

In the entire week I've been playing the upcoming chapter (a lot more fun than current live is), I've played five 1v4 games against killers that aren't The First. Most gave me the same excuse of taking advantage of the free Auric Cells to own these killers temporarily and try them out, but by doing that they're defeating the whole purpose of the PTB because they don't want to buy the killer they're playing on their live account. Not to say there shouldn't be a way to sample a killer, but this just isn't a good way, especially since people queue survivor wanting to play against the new killer, not Spirit, Wesker, Kaneki and Dracula, Spirit being an original DLC, and one so old that she's worth only 2,250 shards, no excuse as to why you should be playing a 7 year old killer on a PTB for the only new/changed killer.

What is there that needs to be tested on an old killer who is pretty much unbugged and received no changes? Its a waste of test sampling, which may I remind you the PTB is already Steam exclusive and has a small sample size. (This PTB had a lot more players compared to normal, because of lots of content, but generally PTB players are way less than Live)

Can we please change it moving forward to not let people do that? Maybe make an actual way on live to try out a new killer, rather than handing universal currency to all players with the intention of buying new content, and not old killers. Better yet, you could just make a Test Queue on live to let all platforms test an upcoming patch on their own accounts and progress, as well as restrict the use of killers to the new/changed one(s) only.

Someone might want to test out the new perks on a killer that would work well with them, or see how well their killer fares against new content.

Survivor queue on PTB is generally always instant, so it doesn't really matter.

I mean i guess, but all of these killers weren't running new perks, they were just playing random killers just because they could buy them with free AC

As the above said, in this particular PTB, there are new perks to test out.

On other PTBs, there are also system mechanic changes to test out with a variety of killers, or survivor changes that might affect certain killers more than others.

I can't think of a recent PTB where restricting it only to killers who were actually changed wouldn't cut out a huge swath of potential testing. Maybe some people are just doing it to test out certain killers, but even they are contributing to testing- one of my gripes with this PTB is that Bada Bada Boom is basically impossible to test against the First, so anyone playing another killer raises my chances of being able to test it.

no reason to disable anything on the ptb just because it isn’t new. The point of the ptb is both feedback and finding bugs, if you know these devs you know things that were never changed can and do randomly break all the time. Allowing people to play things that the devs didn’t change gives the devs extra QA testing.
