Devs, please.
Please just focus on fixing the game rather than working on new killers.
I feel like everything is messed up with balance and the introduction of MoM is badly timed, I think it should be a 1 time use, but what do I know?
The sounds are bugged, footsteps aren't as loud as they used to be (I know you fixed them, but they are still quieter than before). Breathing volume feels quiet, grass moving, and adding a jumping sound was a terrible nerf to Balanced Landing which usually takes a killer by surprise. Spirit is extremely bugged and easy to predict. I don't even know where her audio files came from. Legion is still a problem, the community are more divided than ever, and it's became as imbalanced as it was back when we had double exhaustion and pallet vacuum. Genrushing was never addressed properly and our secondary objectives are not worthwhile enough and don't delay the game, NOED is a bad bandaid for genrushing, and killers struggle with map pressure. Solo survivor was never made to be as strong as SWF, and killers were never buffed after Solo survivors. There's a pollution of second chance perks, and Ruin has became useless, Head on was never fixed like DS, Healing is no longer rewarding, survivor gameplay is flat out boring and not as interactive as it used to be, teams are terribly imbalanced, we never got that built in kindred and rework to the perk kindred, and killers and survivors are at each others throats, people DC too much, and games become unfair. The player count is slowly decreasing and many people have gave up on killer, survivors are bored and people are switching games, Plague was unnecessarily nerfed, colourblind players were never given support and Legion was never addressed.
I think the devs need to just stop with the next killer, and address most the issues, nobody will mind, and then DBD can get back on track with new content.
I dont want to sound like an entitled brat, but these issues must be fixed and I'd really appreciate if @Peanits can pass this thread to the devs. I don't want to see this game die, and I won't leave it, but I'm taking a break myself, until I can have fun games as survivor and not get boring DC's as killer.
Anyone got any thoughts @Orion @TreemanXD @Chaotic_Riddle@Master @DwightsLifeMatters @Gay Myers (Luzi) @powerbats @Patricia and @MandyTalk.
I tried to make this as non toxic and non biased as possible.
If you read this, thank you for taking some time to read this, if you didn't then I can't provide a tl;dr, because this is basically a sum of all the bugs I've heard. I just wanted to get it off my chest.
See you in the fog guys.

3 times a year would be great, with balance fixes every month. The schedule could be like this:
January- New DLC.
February- Balance change
March- Balance change
April- Balance change
May- New DLC
June- Balance change
July- Balance change
August- Balance change
September- New DLC
October- Balance change
November- Balance change
December- Balance change.
@Peanits would this schedule work?

Yes, please. We need more fixes rather than new content.

I totally aggree with you!
But i guess it is not as easy as it sounds. I dont know their exact firm-structure, but usually you have like artists and concept artists and so far and so on and none of them can code and therefore they can´t fix bugs.
Then there is the thing that in order to keep a game alive you have to bring out new content on a regular basis.
And then there are i guess a 1000 other reasons. I don´t think that they intentional suck at fixing bugs or that they got lazy or smth...
I am still believe in Behaviour Interactive!

I hate moaning like this, but someone had to say it.

MoM is a one time use,
all they really gotta do with it is make it cause exhaustion so it can't stack with dead hard and apply broken effect after use so you can't heal 99%, take MoM hit then finish heal. Just do this so everyone can stop losing their sh*t over this perk.
But yeah I agree, fixes over content at this point.

Their roadmap has almost ended, that leads me to think that they'll take all this feedback and probably tone down the chapter releases and thus they'll focus on fixing bugs and work even harder on the main issues of this game...
Until then all we can do is wait...

The two are not mutually exclusive.

I wouldn’t mind solos having built in kindred/bond.
I don’t see MoM as a big threat unless swf are using it. But I rarely see4-man SWF in my killer games.

Pretty much agree on all points. I always kept saying that they need to stop producing content for at least 6 months and hardcore tackle the big issues. Meanwhile, the separate cosmetic can keep doing producing cosmetics so they can earn money.
Once the huge issues are fixed, devs can continue producing new content BUT without time limits. This will make sure that they can fix bugs before it gets live.
Btw thank you for mentioning me with @ and asking for my opinion :) I haven't got any notification tho, is this a new bug in the forum?

Oh please please please you are right with this prediction. Seriously, I really hope they change that "4 new killers per year" concept cuz its obviously to much for them

Well their optimization roadmap seems to show that there’s 4 chapters this year.
0 -
Probably is.

Use new content to address old problems. That's a workable strategy
1 -
Problem with that is, that introducing bandaid fixes is bad, because the side only has 4 perks.

@BoxingRouge A roadmap means ######### in the modern gaming industry. Just an excuse for companies to not work as fast as they should. Anthem dropped with little to no content and everyone complained about that but the developer went "but we have a roadmap! The game might be feature complete in like 6 months to a year! Just keep playing and you'll see! Also please buy stuff from the store."
DEAD BY DAYLIGHT STILL DOESN'T ######### HAVE REWARDS FOR REACHING RANK 1 AND THE GAME HAS BEEN OUT FOR 3 YEARS IN JUNE!
And you better believe that people have been mentioning that since the very first player reached rank 1.

It's a double-edged sword. Focussing on bugs & balance would be good for the game's health. But new content is also important to keep players playing/bring players back.

Which it doesn't do any more. Despite of the release of Chapter XI and Paragraph III, the player base has dropped in the last 3 months and the downwards trend continues.
3 -
@DocOctober As is expected like every year. It'll skyrocket in the second half of 2019 then crash again in 2020.
Literally has happened every year.

Imagine how easy it is for them to give player's a small BP gain maybe 2-5% per trial for hitting rank one,
Or something like for hitting each devotion level maybe 10 extra shards per 100 levels. Its so insignificant a devotion 5 player would make 350 shards instead of 300.
I just don't understand how there is no incentive to play.
There should be a 2x BP weekend once a month. Again something they could easily do and player base will increase but they won't do anything. Its been months since we've had 2x BP. Why?

To be honest, if they gave shards for ranking up, this would fix a lot of problems with deranking.

That is mainly because each year around this time, the game had the biggest balance problems.
2017 had 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 with a lot balance issues and the lowest average players in the game's history (3k average; 8k peak)
2018 had 1.9.1 and 1.9.2, regarded as the worst Patches in the game's history regarding balance.
2019 has MoM

I agree 100%.
I'll pay money for new DLC if the gameplay is fun & balanced.
I won't buy any if it keeps getting more broken, especially with the constant d/cing players.
