The elephant(-sized Hag) in the room
I hate to beat a dead horse but if Chaos Shuffle has done anything, it continues to prove that the Hag is in a horrible state right now.
I know this is something the community brings up every now and then (I've even brought it up a couple times) but until the devs finally address her or acknowledge how bad she currently is, it’s worth continuing to talk about. She’s in desperate need of a proper update. She’s been in the game for 8-9 years now and she’s received so few meaningful updates. Outside of the lightburn change and the music changes, she's only gotten number tweaks. But that's not enough for a killer who's been in the game as long as she has.
She's incredibly outdated and Chaos Shuffle just further proves that because most of her add-ons are almost completely useless and some do next to nothing. Why would anyone want to use the add-ons for the trigger range or trigger duration when they're not worth bringing and the setting speed and teleport range add-ons are a million times more useful? If I'm not mistaken, there are only like two add-ons maybe that are not in rotation for her in this game mode but what's the point when she can get Waterlogged Shoe? It's an iri add-on of hers, but it's quite literally detrimental to her kit because it makes her an M1 killer with no power. At least her traps can hinder survivors, I guess? Or she can get Scarred Hand, which again, makes her an M1 killer with no power. But her phantasms have collision… which is… niche. And terrible.
Having niche add-ons wouldn't even be so bad if almost all of Hag's add-ons weren't absolutely garbage and useless. Because there's also Grandma's Heart and Disfigured Ear. More completely useless add-ons that don't benefit her kit in anyway. And mind you, these are all high rarity, purple add-ons. Her only good high rarity add-ons are Rusty Shackles (purple) and Mint Rag (iri), and outside of that, the only add-ons worth using are the setting speed and teleport range ones. And that's not even addressing the fact that half of her add-ons don't synergize at all with the other half, and one can make the other completely defunct, and it's not worth the gamble at all to play her in this game mode when I can end up with virtually no power and no perks.
She is loooong overdue for a meaningful update to her kit and add-on pass and I hope someday the devs will finally listen and bring her some well-deserved changes.

No one would mind a hag buff.
Problem is, most trap players just camp hooks and basement regardless of their status.

Hag is unplayable in Chaos Shuffle, because she is unplayable if she doesn't have Rusty Shackles.
She's been broken for a super long time, because survivors can purposely bypass the camera spin penalty by running at traps with the camera facing the other way.

I'd love to see Hag get some love. She's one of the old school and she's always been rare to see out there in the fog.

And this is exactly why I would rather keep Hag fossilized and a relic of old DBD, than accept a rework for her.
I don't trust BHVR with it.

i think its high time to rework hag. Id rework her into a more cannibalistic playstyle where she gains bonuses the more she injures survivors (like the entity saying hey good job hurting them heres a bonus) bc trapping/area denial killers just dont work in modern dbd

I get Hag is a very old killer but I thought they could expand on her in a rework of drawing Symbols for more then just teleportation.
Like different symbols on different things for different effects or abilities

I've been saying for long time… ability to cleanse hag trap by hand made her really bad.
Only flashlight used to work on it and it was better.

In chaos shuffle i ended up with both her iri addons which canceled eachother as one stops letting you teleport, the other lets you teleport without them going off lol. Still won somehow

There are over 40 killers in the game right now, so even if 4 killers per year get a rework, any given killer will get an update once every 10 years. That’s incredibly depressing to think about. The content in this game has gotten far too bloated for BHVR to handle with the resources that it has. They only seem to be able to handle new content and skins (i.e. whatever generates revenue), occasional special events and occasional bug fixes. That’s about it.

Most killers gets some love now and again but Hag and Trapper really are not popular at BHVR. Perhaps they even regret making trap killers? Since it's chase killer after chase killer nowdays and maps seldom consider Hag and Trapper less grass, less darkness. I think Hag is doomed.

She needs a rework really, but if they did nothing else, i don't think she deserves the 110 killer status anymore, give her a slight bonus to lunge range (think like wraith) when teleporting to a trap, so if you do it immediately you can actually get a hit, then make it so her power can't be used near hooked survivors and when you hook a survivor it makes all the nearby traps disappear.
Basically, just give her a few nice buffs, and make it so her power can't be used to camp while not actually camping.

They do work. Look at Singularity. But they need to have stats which adapt to the modern dbd (compare his trap setting speed to others, teleport range, base movement speed, etc.).
The question is what would happen then. Higher pickrate, more survivor complaining about the trapping killer, devs need to do more changes.
So yh maybe they dont work bc most dont want to play against them.

Same for trapper unless you get bad team you have some chance but the set up part with no slowdown or good endgame build as second chance is destructive and from this all weaker killers that are set up and weak suffer from.

Larry is on different level his biopods can be set on longer dastance and super fast without any huge hinder to the killer and his chase ability buffs plus his catch up to infected survivors with mobility from his biopods that can be used acress the map compare to hags 40 meters and than she gets slowed hard nd than is 110 speed is something very different, thats like comparing old bubba from 2017 to bubba we have today who has beast marks + iri flesh.

I was writing about how Singularity proves that trap killer can work in current dbd. And for some reason you answer me like i said that Singularity and Hag are at the same strength.
Yes, this comment isnt the most diplomatic answer from me, but im sick of people not reading correctly and assuming i have really dumb opinions.

I was on phone so opening some mesages is though on it here.
He is trap but he has chase power in his traps which other trap killers dont have (maybe artist if we consider her crows as traps when you place them on loops to get some zoneing or direct hit but other trap killers just have traps and pig has worst dash and its just pig).

Well, i don't think Hag needs a "rework" like a newer power, just some changes, like turning her into a 4.6 killer, make her best addons basekit (range and trap setup speed), increasing the time it takes to remove her traps, removing "S Tech" and removing her camping potential by making traps 12m around hooks to dissipate after x time.

Finally someone who gets my POV.
A rework is the last thing she needs. Look at Myers. Look at Skull Merchant's rework concepts. Completly tonally different from their OG states.
I do not need this kind of thing for Hag. Give her some addons basekit, some kind of S tech solution, a restriction to camping and she is good to go.

How would people feel about her going to 4.6 m/s, and a bit of a 'kit expansion' by adding a second, maybe even a third rune that she can deploy for different effects?
Like maybe one that, when triggered, gives a bit of Killer Instinct and renders the survivor oblivious without them knowing, so you can have a jumpscare Hag?

hag was last upgraded in 2018, and since she has only received nerfs (e.g. allowing survivors to wipe away traps) and bugs. mint rag that is on the roaster in shuffle mode is completely bugged. every time i get mint rag in shuffle, i know i need to play as an M1 killer without a power because 90% of the time with mint rag, i end up teleporting to the wrong trap. not the trap that was triggered but some random trap. its ridiculous

Still doesnt change the fact he needed the change because only thing that kept him above d-tier was purple tombstone addon.
There is plenty of killers that arent what they used to be like doctor but at this point you have to choose between og state or lore accuracy or the better gameplay which is in most cases easy choice.

Making her 4.6 is an obvious one, but I think removing her range restriction would be a good change as well. Her nature as a trap killer already pressures her to lock down an area of the map, I think encouraging her to spread out her traps more would make her a bit more dynamic for both sides.
