I have been dying to experience it again. I barely got to play when it was last cycled in and waiting for it to return. Make it a Lights Out Weekend event, just give us another run of it.

From what I remember it was pretty unpopular. I don’t think there are enough people who want it back for it to happen again.

because bhvr allowed 2 killers who by design are incompatible with Lights Out; Doc and Legion.

they violated the spirit of the mode so they never should have been allowed. if you love Legion that much you woulda been fine being a Trapless Trapper but they didn't do that.

Yes please bring it back and change it to make it better for everyone. Xenomorph was the best killer in the roster for that mode. Being black makes her hard to see and survivors had the flame turrets as their only warning the killer was near. It was peak it had that thrill that horror games are suppose to have.

I would make a few changes to it.

    • Ghostface, Myers and Dredge BANNED from that mode as their power highlights survivors at a far distance ruining the mode for everyone with an unfair advantage.
    • Survivors get the proximity turrets. An exact copy of the flame turrets except without the flamethrower.
    • Killers get to see footsteps just like how Xeno can see footsteps when she's in the tunnel. Only difference is killers on the surface cannot see them while in a chase.

Doctor and Legion. Eh, doctor can still work but won't have access to his large AoE blast and may as well disable Legion since their power can't even work without a TR.

I feel like they could just make killers m1 only with an event specific power instead, like the killers function as skins, it could be an easier way to do it since survivors don't get perks either

All Lights Out needed was killer instinct and scream notifications removed. And even then, maybe limit them to a range much like how BBQ and Chili works, where notifications are only visible outside a specific range.

I'm sure it will be back at some point. But it will need some changes, as it's never been very popular.

If they shoved more auras to survivors like hooked person or gens than it would be way better or made more places where survviors could place those candles and not only gens which wasnt that great because not only all saw it but killer saw it too.

Not all killers were "viable" here like yeah legion and doc with their build in tracking were good but nemi was bad because if he whiped survivor he basicaly lost them in 95% of time automaticaly or some top killers were bad (which maybe want that bad) like nurse was worst for 100% because she was loud and couldnt get you with blinks becauswe everywhere was darkness and nurse must see where to blink, spirit give herself up by sound when phasing so easy to doge, dracula was top with wolf because of his tracking injured survivors and other of his abilities were good to, billy was super hardcore or bubba (but billy way more) becouse you didnt saw some progress bars such as gens or off killer powers like billys saw progres bar etc..

Hag was straight nightmare as jumpscare tbh and fun and ghostface was pretty fun too, dreadge was only less interesting because his nightfalls darkness was just there all the match (but still interesting killer but back then he made that turky sound for long distance and wasnt so quiet as now so he was very bad in this mode too), wraith was just pure classic and gold to play as etc..

I'm a Legion main that thinks they got done dirty in 2V8 and even I think they were a total disaster in Lights Out. They should never have been in that mode at all.

As for Lights Out, it's the one time limited mode I hope they don't bring back. As Survivor, it was a rough experience not being able to see any resources to run to for looping or being able to find your teammates for a heal. And as Killer, it felt like only the hardcore SWFs on comms were playing by the speed the gens were popping because they were the only ones who could find their teammates. The only fun I had as Killer was yoinking Survivors off a gen from the darkness as Deathslinger (Which was admittedly definitely worth loading up a game for).

I know a lot of people argue that it brought horror back into the game. But let's be real, the horror aspect of DBD is vestigial for most veteran players at this point. Nobody is playing it like it's a horror game anymore. It's more about winning by any means necessary than it is about giving someone a good scare.

    • Obviously, I hope this mode returns for you and I hope you have a lot of fun. Whatever the devs do, I won't be playing it. I'm a skin/banner/badge collector... since 2020, I've owned almost everything ever released in the rifts (both normal and "special rifts"). I hated this mode so much, I literally gave up on the last "special rift" just to avoid playing it.🤣

Nemesis actually had some meta value in Lights Out due to the coughing. if you are good at the whips the survivors would be permanently coughing.

First he would need to burn through vaccines and that meant one tenticle hit was escape so he was hindered by this and tbh plague was better if you were good with hearing sounds because her infection did more than nemi from the start.
