SWF suggestion

I think all of us know that playing as part of a SWF gives players a major advantage. I think this suggested change would even the balance out for killers playing against SWFs.

  • For every other survivor in a party, players get a 6% repair speed penalty.

So a SWF with 2 people results in 6% slower repair speed for each, 3 people 12% penalty and a full SWF 18% repair speed penalty for each survivor. If it's 2 pairs of 2 person SWFs, they all get 6%. Opinions on this?

    Here we go again penalizing people playing together in a team game. We never get bored of this unreasonable bias.

    and this is why the game will never be balanced. people acknowledge that SWF has advantages that solo players do not yet SWF players refuse to accept any penalty for these advantages because it "penalizing people for playing together".

    No jane, punishing people for playing in swfs would not fix the issue, it would make survivors genrush more even if you added a 50% penalty, no one would bother playing without meta perks if they get punished for it.

    Soloq got handicapped by such a drastic amount that its essentially a free win 60% of the time.

    If you cant handle a decent team doing their objectives instead of asking for things that some killers lack like mobility or lethality, you are asking the wrong questions.

    Having advantages doesnt make them better players. That is obvious.

    One issue see with this is proposal is solos depending on an ally who's in a SWF having such a repair debuff taking too long to get a late game gen done, especially with other survs already sacrificed. What happens to such a debuff as members of a SWF are eliminated?

    I do not trust the devs messing around with situational debuffs like this coding wise either. Too easy to view this as opening up a can of code worms.

    I feel like there'd reach a point where SWFs entirely deprioritize trying to win because it becomes not worth it under systems like this.

    Full 18% gen speed penalty + slowdown + gen spread means that macro isnt worth it over just taking chases and then going next when the chases get boring.

    I get wanting to even out SoloQ and SWF, but you need to do it by bringing SoloQ up in terms of information disparity with more QoL for specific SWF-focused perks and situations more easily solved by SWFs, not punishing people for playing with their friends to the point that it feels like a waste to even try and win.

    What about limmiting swf to duos only. Cant form a full bully squad without 3-4 people, can still play with your friends, custom matches can still be used for tournament purposes

    it doesnt have to make them better players thats the point and in fact makes the situation even worse lol, for example…a bad player who cant loop at all can be carried by SWF on comms by a simple heads up "killer heading your way". This means the bad looper can get a major head start and even be gone from the area by the time the killer gets there and therefore avoiding the need to loop at all. That is obvious.

    I know this because i have played in a duo and my duo partner was brand new to the game, the little heads up i was able to give enabled them to casually walk away avoiding any interaction with the killer and allowed them to escape. Without the comms that player would have no idea the stealth killer is on their way to them and would be downed almost instantly.

    Most lobbies i play against are at least 2 man SWF.

    The penalties for SWFs honestly could add a little balance yet still that's not enough believe or not xD
    I'd add Kindered basekit to solo q survivors. They are the ones that needs support.

    Like i said before, most survivors i play against are sadly in SWF and their coordination just speaks for itself because i can tell the difference between solo q survs and survs on comms. There is a huge difference in their efficency.

    And plays like taking hits, bodyblocking, spreading on gens and pre-running the hell out.

    Such plays are not only OBNOXIOUS AS HELL but the facts most killers have ABSOLUTELY 0 counterplay towards that only proves my point that this game is EXTREMELY Survivor favored.

    And all that problem comes from Survivor mains entitlement. We can take even the most cocky survivor main to play against 4 man SWF at least once, and trust me.. this person will get humbled to the point they will NEVER play as Killer ever again.
