Don’t hate me but I like the head Grimoire silhouette

Yeah it’s a little goofy but it does definitely covey an otherness, an alien divinity like Dürer or Bosch depicted, that ‘floating humanoid figure’ (something we have in spades already) and ‘humanoid figure with extra limbs’ really didn’t for me. I see a lot of people asking for a nonhuman Killer and then when they get shown a really out there design nobody actually wants it.

Moreover, I think people are ignoring the flavour text that came with the silhouettes, which might be pointing toward the future Killer’s Power. The first two suggested movement and map control, archetypes that are either not historically popular (nobody plays Singularity or Artist even though they’re really strong) not very strong (Trapper and Hag are in the ICU right now) or, in the case of movement powers, really hard to balance and frankly a little oversaturated right now. Whereas Big Head’s text suggests something to do with vision or perception, which has a lot of possibilities not fully explored.

It’ll all come down to how these ideas are implemented in the end, and I don’t think my picks for Killer or Survivor in the Grimoire will be the winners, but I still admire the design team for taking a big swing on some of the ideas they’ve shown us.

    The floating head definitely captures the divinity in a unique way, that being the incomprehensible divinity that looks strange to us.

    That being said, the other two might fit the other themes more.

    I admit the giant head stands out the most from the 3. And its cosmetic potential would be quite interesting. I believe the powers are alredy being chosen seperate from the look of the killer, like we alredy seemed to vote on an energy beam and sending people to another realm based on what sins they built up.

    What kinda drives votes away from the giant head tho is the fact that we threw away having beasts and mutants and cosmic beings because most voted for a divine angel like killer. So in most of their minds the first 2 seem to fit the general description of what they were hoping for from the beginning. The head however doesnt really seem much like an angel. And it would be odd to see the whole process start by the community wanting an angel and then ending up with a giant head walking on arms lol.

    I hope we get to explore more of the options someday as there were quite a few interesting killers to vote for

    I think what also doesn't help the floating head type killer is that the last killer to release prior to that vote, not counting Vecna in the PTB, was a floating head killer. So there's probably also a large chunk of people that were like, "Was just there, did it, wasn't fun, what else ya got?" which could have deterred away from choosing it.

    Though I do agree with op that it's an interesting idea and I hope in the future they explore something with that option since it was so different from the other two more normalized angel silhouettes.

    I think it could potentially be a very cool piece of concept art that's actualization would end up comical in game. Being carried by head form Krasue is so cringe to look at. I don't want anymore goofiness like that.

    it feels unsettling, like I'd go insane if I looked at it and tried to comprehend it. or maybe I would and my head would explode. I didn't vote for it but it was honestly tempting.

    When I heard angelic, I was hoping for fallen angel. Sort of like Cabanel's Lucifer.

    Voted for the head myself, I absolutely understand people's criticism that it doesn't feel as stereotypically "divine" as the other two, but at the same time, the other two aren't exactly anything much different from the silhouettes of literally any other killer that we already have. I don't think that a being that is meant to be a divine deity would necessarily be a bipedal, humanoid like figure, and, much like I did with the survivor poll, I opted to vote for what was the most different from what we already have.

    thanks for all the input. I do somewhat agree with the Krasue comparison but I don't think it's quite the same and at the very least is more distinctive than the other silhouettes. I realised the concept made me think of some of the angel designs from the Bayonetta series, particularly Fortitudo and Glamour:

    I look forward to the angelic Killer in any case (as long as it says 'do not be afraid' in Aramaic during its mori where the Survivor's face melts)!

    The flavor text is probably for lore or something.
