Buff Boons and Shattered Hope
Shattered Hope offers a unique interaction for killers and survivors. It is, I think, the only perk that allows the killer to interact with a boon. However, its benefits, combined with the weaknesses of current boons, mean it is rarely used. I think a meaningful buff to both is necessary, as it would be an interesting dynamic that isn't possible with other perks.
Current:
Instead of snuffing Boon Totems, you destroy them.
Destroying a Boon Totem this way reveals the Auras of all Survivors that were within its range at that moment for 6/7/8 seconds.
Proposed Changes:
Instead of snuffing Boon Totems, you destroy them.
Destroying a Boon Totem this way reveals the Auras of and Exposes all Survivors that are affected by the boon for 6/7/8 seconds.
Note
Adding exposed gives more risk/reward for booning/shattering, and for the killer, a slight additional benefit is the change in who is affected. If a killer is snuffing a boon, the survivors are likely to continue running, and this change means those with the lingering effect of the boon are also revealed.
The perk is still limited by the survivors needing to bring a boon perk, then actually bless a totem, and then the killer actually finding that totem, and by chance, the survivor still being under its effects at that same time.
Boon Buffs
In general, Boons could use a buff or some changes. I don't have great ideas for all of them, but below are some from-the-hip ideas. The idea would be to give small additions to their effects that make them at least slightly more viable, with a range increase and a lingering effect for all. This would support chaining together boon auras in the case of a squad with boons, without making the boon effect so strong that it feels unfair or becomes overly meta. The boons need to be good enough that survivors want to bring them, thus also motivating the killer to use shattered hope.
- All boons have the lingering effect:
This effect lingers for 2/3/4 seconds after leaving the Boon Totem's range. - All boons have a slightly larger area of effect
- Circle of Healing:
Increased healing speed and applied to medkits - Dark Theory:
Add: Exhaustion recovery increased by x% while within boon range and not running. - Exponential:
Self-Recovering in the boon range applies Endurance for 1 second - Illumination:
Totems are also revealed. Chest unlock speed increased by x%. - Shadow Step:
Vault locations within boon aura are revealed, and vault noises are reduced by x%

You would have to give Shattered Hope an effect that will make it usefull even without survivors using any boon.
Most killers can't really afford to bring useless perk.4 -
Shattered Hope needs to either be basekit, or not exist at all.

Why would we ever waste a vastly more valuable perk slot on a very limited aura and a hilariously useless 8s expose?

Honestly I think it would be healthier for the game if Shattered Hope was basekit and boons were made stronger. Boons would be limited to 5 uses a match.

That would make boons pretty much worthless though, at least make it a time commitment for the killer.

Not if you buff the boons across the board as compensation.

You got some good ideas, for Shattered Hope, I'd keep it's current stats & make the perk work on dull totems too. That way you can still use the perk even if nobody blesses a totem.
Also, Oh man, that 1 second of Endurance for Exponential is just evil 😈
It doesn't sound like a lot, but it is.

They will still not be enticing enough to take, the killer basically has no time commitment or risk to get rid of it like survivors do.
They'd just walk past it notice it and its gone instantly, and that could be done every game.
maybe turn it into a hex instead, you could add a function that it forms a hex for every boon you turn off, then you could pair it with pentimento if the hex that spawned gets cleansed. So its basically a perk that adds a huge risk to boon builds, so long as there is a boon you get a hex in return.0
