Should we reduce the number of addons each killer has?

I've seen a lot of Youtubers and Streamers suggesting that part of the reason DBD is so hard to balance is because of the insane number of killer addons present in the game.

I agree with the sentiment that a lot of killer addons to be either combined, removed or made base kit.

Like for example; Mangled and Haemorrhage addons. Mangled is good on it's own, but Haemorrhage is weak without Mangled, and the pair of them can be combined across the killer board and it would free up some much needed space. For example, Xenomorph has Multipurpose Hatchet and Kane's Helmet. The only real thing that give MPH any value without KH is that it one of the only remaining sources of Haemorrhage without a time limit.

Or Dredge's Mortar and Pestle. It teaches players bad habits and is a detriment to a players development with the killer and is an example of an addon that needs removing.

And then addons that need to be base kit. Demo's Barb's Glasses or Dredge's Ottomarian Writing. Playing Demo or Dredge without these addons feels bad and ruins the flow of the killers. They need to be full adopted into the base kit.

Again, this is my opinion and I am open to discussion. But if we want to buff weaker killers or properly adjust them, I think a simple solution is to do a complete addon pass across all killers and reduce the number of available addons.

Also, if I could have 1 addon be base kit, it would be Acidic Blood for the Xenomorph. It's a meme addon and I love running it, and it fits so well for the lethality of the Xeno whilst promoting constant usage of its tunnels whilst hit and running.

I actually feel like the amount of killer addons is perfect, BHVR just likes putting in incremental, small buffs as the addons.

Take Springtrap, Krasue or Houndmaster as an example. Plauge if you want an older example. Their addon sets are diverse, give them multiple different playstyle options and spice up their kits.

On the other hand, there is Demogorgon, Deathslinger, Hag, all killers with several addons that are copies of eachother, (which is not a bad thing if there are only 2 addons that buff the same stat) and Twins, a killer with only 4-5 usable ones.

Addon passes are needed, but primarily, they should focus on variety and new playstyle options. They should not be reductions.

If we want to cut out the fluff, target offerings instead.

i think a focus on a much smaller pool of more transformative addons rather than 20 different ways to pencil-push numbers around could be really interesting provided they partialled or full-basekitted the major addon reliances the various roster members have.

I feel like if we downsized to more meaningful addons and then went from there, it would help a lot for sure. This applies to survivor also.

like why do we have multiple addons that do the same thing, just of different quality.

Also Myers is a recent example why do we need an Iri addon to play classic myers? Why not just a brown.
