So I might have found something absolutely absurd that Vecna can do...

I got Stranger Things Chapter 2 today and am really enjoying it! Got Vecna and Eleven to Prestige 3 and am loving their perks.

In the last game I played as Vecna, I found... an interesting interaction involving the Worldbreaker Tokens. All the gens were done and Dustin was going to unhook a Stage 2 Orela with max Worldbreaker Tokens on a hill. Seeing this, I charged up the Undergate Attack just before Dustin would go for the unhook to bypass the anticamp slowdown associated with Vecna's power.

Now, what I expected was for Dustin to get damaged and Orela to end up in Deep Wounds.

One of those things happened; Dustin got injured. The moment Orela touched the ground though? She ended up in the Mind Breaker stance, stunned and paralyzed for the Mori rather than ending up in Deep Wounds. Apparently, Vecna's Special Mechanic has a greater priority over Endurance off hook so long as the Unhooked Survivor is on Death Hook and has max Worldbreaker Counters! Ummm... I think this shouldn't be a thing because it is literally unfair to the person off hook since they're robbed of their second chance and just instantly die immediately after getting unhooked.

I want to know if I was the only person that experienced this unique interaction with Vecna 2's Special Attacks vs Endurance because it just feels wrong for that to be the way it is.

It is really absurd. I talked with a friend about it and apparently he theorized that BHVR didn't implement a check for Endurance when the Mind Breaker effect triggers. And it sounds like that is what happened. Hopefully this exploit becomes patched out because it's not only upsetting to be on the receiving end of, but it also just does not feel right from a game logic perspective.

We can only hope they patch it quick but I'm not holding my breath. The good thing is you can choose to just let them fall to the ground instead of killing them, which is what I'll do if it happens when I'm playing as him, but having to do that because they screwed this up is ridiculous. He shouldn't be able to pop out right after an unhook like that anyway.

Well, thing is it doesn't really count as a hit/down with 4 tokens. That's also why it won't trigger Eruption…

Also not really new thing in DBD, can't Myers do basically same thing?

Vecna attosecond insta-killing a Survivor the moment they touch the ground off-hook is kind of different different compared to Myers being able to instantly kill an unhooked Survivor because Myers at least gives some room for being able to avoid it whereas this scenario is basically DBD's equivalent of a Kaizo Trap where successfully unhooking a Survivor kills them immediately and it's better to leave them on hook. It's a situation which is extremely feel-bad for the Survivor on hook. There do exist Triggers in the game where a power slows down considerably or stops working the moment a Survivor performs an unhook action such as with Knight and Singularity. And Vecna's power is very close to that category, but BHVR probably left out the command to slow down the Undergate Attack when an Unhook action in its vicinity is performed. I think adjusting that parameter would be healthier though.
