Again, killer ping advantage

I can tolerate the broken balance, but not the free hits from laggy killers. Getting hit by latency after I've clearly won the mind game makes me want to uninstall immediately.

    Your comments about using a VPN don't reflect reality

    In fact, consider that there is no local server for players from the Middle East and Africa, and for Russia/CIS, because of this, a LOT of people are forced to play through Frankfurt, which is why the ping is high

    And regarding Russia, there is also filtering of incoming data packets through TSPU, which is why the ping is higher

    Now take into account a player from Siberia, who goes through data packet filtering and is forced to play through Frankfurt, because there is no server closer, the ping there starts from 85 and above

    2. PvP games are all rules-based, not random, and where did the developers even personally state that this is a PvP game? Community-organized tournaments are purely their idea, and even then, people play with restrictions on perks, killers, and maps

    3. You're misinterpreting my post, because I'm saying that people with high ping aren't always those using a VPN. There are many factors that can increase ping, such as distance to the nearest server or its complete absence, but you're reducing it all to one criterion: they use a VPN

    The claim that DBD is a PvP game is false and has no official confirmation. The only official information is that they changed the gameplay approach from hide-and-seek to running, and now the entire meta/new perks rely on auras and fast chases/info

    It is very strange to base your opinion and arguments on the fact that someone should have an advantage over another based on unconfirmed sources

    Back when hit validation was changed, it made sense. It wasn't the same game. But now that we've shifted into such a strong Killer focus, it's really made it unbearable.

    Extreme ping is certainly a valid issue, unfortunately its hard to really discuss when people think numbers like 80 or 100 are why they can't judge distances or compensate. Things like lagswitching have been an issue for both sides, and killers with number over 200 and the like have an inherent advantage due to how the game's netcode is structured, but it muddies the conversation when people can't help but be hyperbolic.

    The best solution will always be more server regions to cut down on the average server distance, but that costs BHVR more than just manpower so its somewhat understandable why its not on the docket. Retooling the netcode to be more neutral without breaking things that require killer priority from the P2P days would also work, but its impossible to say from an outside perspective how much has been done on that front, nor how much still could be.

    The only other thing would be forcing stability checks on players for ping and packet loss, but that would be ridiculous to even expect. Though anomalies mid match could probably be isolated via server timestamps, which would at least internally identify repeat offenders or targeted lag.

    yep, the thing is they can fix most of the dsync issues to a certain ping level, if they went for 128+ tick servers, but it would be costly for them so they wont do it, they can also fix the dsync logic as well, but then again, this is an old game, im surprised they manage to keep it alive all this years.

    😍😍😍😍 This is the only thing that will make me return to this game. When I see all players have this ping. BHVR just does not care about fixing this issue. They only care about adding more skins and content without fixing phantom hits that ruins all the chases.

    Goes both ways. Killers get hit detection priority. Survivors get interruption priority. However, hit detection definitely comes into play more often than interrupts.

    unless you play ghostface/stealth or a survivor does a gen in your face i got robbed so many times with interrupts
